Five players (half of which are bang average) do not make a cup winning, title-challenging squad. It was a dog of a squad, and it was the fault of Ed Woodward, not Mourinho.

It's like you're actively making an effort to just be ignorant about things to try and support your points.

Surely no one on the internet would ever do such a thing? :cautious:

My family have been Spurs for generations. Jose is a mercenary who plays football with the most defensive style possible. Anyone criticizing Poch remember Levy did not help him at all in that period. I am personally embarrassed that we decided to sit back and let Chelsea beat us.

Mourinho has to go he is not what Spurs need. Spurs have always wanted to play football not always successfully but now we have a manager who's first priority is not to lose.

A mercenary with 28 Titles. English, Spanish, Italian League Titles, Champions League Titles, Dosmetic Cups, Super Cups the lot. So yes, not losing is his first priority and it's my priority too.

I am tired of having to explain to people why we are one of the best clubs in England. The stadium, training facility, good financials, CL final run last season, all of this and so much more means jack shit to other club supporters. Until we actually WIN something, we will never be taken seriously. So yes, screw being entertained, I want us to be successful. I want titles. Whatever we have to do to get there, we should be willing to do.

If your family has been Spurs for generations then why aren't you knuckling down and giving Mourinho a chance? After all you don't have a choice as its a generational thing within your family? Because this doesn't fit your fuck Jose narrative and we can't have that can we?

Ok - I’ve read post after post of yours

genuine question

new manager comes in (any manager) how long would you suggest is an acceptable amount of time to put their stamp on the style? Let’s assume as well they have all the current players available?

please also consider mid season appointment, games thick and fast over the festive period

It’s not a matter of how long, I just want to see something that tells me he isn’t reverting to type. Just a glimmer that he might be about to try and dominate teams.

We all know how Jose plays football. But time and time again clubs and then some fans buy into the fact that Jose has changed... oh he’s used those 8 months out to really look at himself and he’s changed and blah blah blah.

But he hasn’t changed at all.
He only knows one way to play. And it’s not the Spurs way.

It is a matter of how long though - so I ask again, remove the emotion of your dislike of mourinho and if it were any manager how long would you see as reasonable?

he has changed by the way - he is hugely different in his demeanour which is why, with time he will improve

I’m really beginning to hate the term “he’s a winner”.

It’s getting on my tits.

The last time Jose was genuinely successful was what a decade ago?
Dunno mate, actually winning a final, any final, would count as success to me as a Spurs fan.
Not sure what you're expecting from him, or us, if you don't think he's a bloody good manager.

It’s such a massive transition from the way Poch set up to the way Mourinho does and I think because of that Jose is setting up on the cautious side. You can tell he doesn’t want the team to pass out from the back much and lose possession in our half and would rather knock it long so we can at least maintain as much structure defensively as possible.

I’ve been a little surprised at how much fear we’ve had at not having Kane and Son but I also trust that Jose is going to find a way to win enough matches even if it’s not beautiful. Then he can really work with the team before next season to make them more attractive. There will be lots of “low block” first and try not to concede first the rest of this season.

So what other clubs supporters think is the most important thing to you? I couldn’t give a fuck what they think of us to be honest.

All the but what have you won shit was just jealousy. If we had won something they would have found a way to belittle it.

I loved Harry Rednapp and Poch and BMJ because they knew how we want our football played. With or without trophies it was entertaining. It’s about moments, bale in Milan, the miracle in Amsterdam. Those are what I’ll tell me grandkids about. Not winning the fa cup by a sea walker own goal.... I would actually say the semi was more memorable to be honest and we didn’t win a trophy for that.

So united where he spent an absolute fortune including a world record fee on pogba. All to win the Mickey Mouse cup and europa league?

Or Chelsea where he spent a fortune again?

Everytime he has won the league he has been the biggest if not the second biggest spender, he will never be that here.

He doesn’t improve players he buys them then falls out with them.

And let’s not forget he also sold KDB and Sarah.... what a great manager this man is
It's beginning to appear that you have a real problem with Mourinho.
It's looking like it's clouding your judgement somewhat.

Afri-coy I agree with you how many of our squad are we really happy with ? for myself Kane Son ALI Bergwijn Winks Sissoko Lo Celso Tanganga Alerwireld Sanches Lorris Lamela Davies plus promising young players Whiteman Parrot Skipp
Plus Ndombele ? Sessegnon ? Fernandes ? jury out
I know this is only my opinion of our squad but I don't think I would be far off what most would think .
Jose has got a massive job to get a tune out of us whatever system we play attacking or defensive all I can say is best of luck Jose .
I look forward to next season and am ready for the pain this year but I refuse to turn on the manager without giving him a full pre season and summer transfer window COYS

He wanted him out before he was ever in, so giving him a chance was never an option. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but sometimes when someone is obviously so entrenched with a position, its obviously a waste of time trying to convert them :D

So united and Chelsea? Would either of these fans want him back?

No because it all comes at a cost
Most Chelsea fans I know still talk very favourably about Mourinho.
To be honest, most united fans have come round to the fact that he wasn't actually as bad as they thought at the time. They've come round to the fact that both he and the club, are badly hamstrung by Woodward.
One guy I know couldn't stand Mourinho during his time at United but even he grudgingly accepts now, that he may have been wrong.

Does anyone actually like him?
He's grown on me a lot since he's been there but then, I was one of those wanting to give him a go.
My main issue is that surely, we got to give him some time. He's come in mid-season, straight into a mad run of games and a bunch of injuries to important players.
Not to mention that the team had been in free fall for quite some time.
He's fire fighting at the moment and while I agree, it's not pretty and it's not how I want us to play, I honestly don't think that this is what he wants either.

I'm willing to give Mourinho the same chance as I'd give any other manager who's put in charge of my team.
I'm looking at the situation he's dealing with and can understand what's happening.
