We are truly fucked no CL for next season no silverware this season again the short and mid term outlook looks bleak I really can't wait
It's really gonna be a bitter pill to swallow when Poch goes to United and picks up a trophy before we do.

For me it's frustrating enough just having to watch Walker win medal upon medal (should never have sold him, let alone to a rival - it was the beginning of our fall) so can only imagine how the likes of Harry might take it. Right now I can't help but worry about our prospects for these next 2-3 seasons.

One of those mass exodus's on the cards eh? Horrid stuff.

I think you are falling for jose' s standard trick - lowering the expectations of his team, multiple excuses, diverting attention from what happens on the pitch. Yes we are missing two great forwards but it's no excuse for how we are playing. If we had started Ali Bergwin and Moura as the front three today would it have been any worse than Barkley Giroud and mount ?

This a thousand times over!

Imo a good manager or coach gets the best out of what is at his disposal.
Is that what we are seeing?
I dont think so.

Depends really. The results have improved. I’m not entirely sure what our strengths are anymore!

We have a set of defenders who can’t defend at all anymore, and I’m talking basic, individual bollocks every week, and a group of flakey attacking midfielders who sometimes can’t control a football and make simple passing look like the most complex move in the game.

A serious serious lack of character throughout the side and nobody who maintains any level of consistency.

Right now, Kane is the only irreplaceable player in the entire squad. We’ve got some cracking footballers, potentially, but it’s nowhere near clicking for them. Some smart player trading might be the way to go in the Summer, but we’ve not done that for years so not holding my breath.

I think you're over rating a lot of the 1st team today. Winks and davies are squad players at best, JT is raw and just a kid, verts is finished and we had no striker and sorry to say ndombele looks a million miles away from a £70m player but of course hope he comes good as there is a player there . Yes we have some good players but so many clear and obvious weaknesses.

So you dont think we have a premier league quality squad and that we should expect to be bullied by the likes of Southampton because winks and Davies?

Playing backs to the wall long ball tactics against Chelsea is as good as we can expect because we've got winks and davies.

We can't expect better than what we are seeing, we can't expect any progressive football or desire to win games because we don't have a perfect squad.

Interesting opinion. Not sure I share it.

Up until this week, he was.

Winning games, unbeaten in seven games off the back of a last minute winner against Villa.

We lose our second top scorer after the game and he loses two on the bounce ... Seems to make sense, no?

So hard to say if it was the wrong appointment. Initially there were promising signs and he closed a 12 point gap to 1(now4) pts from 4th then Kane and son happened BUT the constant has been the style of football and I can’t see how it’s going to be successful as it doesn’t suit our players, I also now hate watching it as we skip out the midfield and I think most fans are also becoming disillusioned by it.

Like you say the real worry is that we baxk him with big money this summer have a shit start to the season have to sack him and the rinse and repeat... fingers crossed Jose still has some magic but no striker aside our lack of actually playing football makes me quite concerned now.

If there’s no improvement in performance and we miss out on CL, which we will, then hopefully we sack him in the summer rather than wait till a couple of months into the season.

Yes, because they had a striker and we didn't. Giroud's not the most prolific but he can hold the ball up, isn't selfish, can pass and has good movement to create space for others. Not having a striker on the pitch matters.

This a thousand times over!
Can I just ask how this can be a thousand times over the Dele being in the line up?

No one rated after the other night, and everyone was pretty much made up that he was dropped for todays game. I can't keep up with the ideal that this would have cut it today, seems more like a case of people making it up as they go along.

Absoloutley no chance of that mate. Levy will lose too much face if so also CL qualification was almost mission impossible when Jose took over and now we’ve got son and Kane out it really is so no chance he’ll get sacked whatever our results are until the end of the season.

But if the performances are this fire consistently then I can certainly see the fans turning if results aren’t going well either

He needs to go in the summer. End of discussion. He’s a genius of deflection. His chums in the media won’t dare challenge him as they hang off every quote. The injuries to Kane and Son have set him up perfectly for months of excuses. Huge mistake appointing him.

I like Mourinho but this isn't good enough. Yes we've had injuries, but we are getting comprehensively outplayed every single game, no matter who the opposition are. We've picked up some wins but against the run of play in those games.

We also look totally disorganised. We are awful defensively, our midfield is nonexistent, and our forwards look like they've never played together. Rubbish movement off the ball, terrible decision-making, stupid mistakes.

Most people would say that player-for-player we have a strong squad, certainly stronger than, say, Southampton. But look at what their manager is doing with far less resources.

Jose absolutely deserves time and the summer window. But we have to start looking more organised and more like a team. Right now we are just sitting back, waiting for the opposition to score 1 or 2 goals, and then hoping we can score in the last 20min. It's ridiculous.
