Dele, Dier and Aurier are not starting, so it should be interesting following developments on who is going to be blamed. Will be more interesting than the match itself probably :D

Jan. It’ll be dressed up though, such things like ‘Jan is finished’, ‘His legs have gone’ and will certainly be a few ‘it’s such a shame he’s past it’ type comments going on.

Hugo always in with a shout too of course.

The clear favourite is Winks though

Both our fullbacks are either natural or comfortable CBs.. if Giroud tears us apart in the air with 5 CBs on the pitch.. well..

Interesting line up. Possibly actually more suited to the counter attacking style we have done with mixed results recently in that we should be able to soak up pressure a bit better but have enough with Tanguy, GLC, Moura and Stevie for a fast transition

Respect to Jose for taking a brave call with Dele and dropping Serge

even if we don’t win these are the right calls to be making given form

Considering 'disjointed' could probably be applied to almost every game we've played this season that's hardly the result of some sort of shrewd insight or reading the coffee grounds :D

You don’t need shrewd insight to see that playing a formation and starting XI of whom a) have barely played together and b) not in said formation and c) have two left sided defenders one of whom is ready for the pound and the other has zero attacking intent and runs in treacle to come to a conclusion that we’re either going to see one of José’ tactical miracles or another train wreck.

I like the decision to play wing backs but I wouldn’t have played either Vertonghen or Davies and I also wouldn’t have played both Bergwijn and Moura. Ideally Bergwijn as he’s led the line for PSV this season, then added another midfielder eg Fernandes, Lamela or even Alli.

Really like that line up. It's gonna be great to see Tanguy and Lo celso start together. Let's hope Tanguy has the legs for the whole game. And Dele being dropped after his tantrum is good to see as well.

we’ve been awful keeping tabs on strikers in a back 3 the last few years. Will be shocked if he’s not finding open headers.

also, 100% chance the murderer scores a free kick.

The last time I was this happy with out line up was against nowrich away when we were lucky not to be 2-0 down

The excitement after that line up at Norwich was my season highlight until the city game ?

Still not sure why Sess can’t make the bench. Potentially come on at wing back if we’re chasing. Skipp seems a little pointless on there.

Wingbacks = ideal scenario for Sessegnon. He’s quick, has attacking intent and would give us balance. Strange as to why he hasn’t made the team/bench the last few games.

Haha I was so excited by that lineup. What a shit show that was. I feel much better about this as long as Lo Celso keeps his central midfield role and keeps us ticking.
