Mourinho on summer signings. Sounds less positive for TN than for GLC! But I think with Tanguy it's a case of tough love and sort yourself out.

"The players that come - Giovani, Sessegnon, Ndombele - you see the young boy is in a process of developing and we are giving him time to do that," he said.

"Giovani comes from completely different football cultures. Played in Spain, Argentina, played in Spain, played in France, now he comes again. You can feel that he is coming.

"Ndombele not even coming. Injured and with lots of problems, so you cannot compare what was four years ago in the cycle of four years to what it is now. So we have to work."

I think with Ndombele I think there is also a case of frustration at his niggling injuries. He wants him playing and settling that way. I don't think it is the dig certain people in the media are making it out to be.

Good to hear him speak of Lo Celso more positively, I think his very disappointing performance in his start vs Bayern put up a red flag with Mourinho, similar to Foyth at Norwich. Hopefully he starts tonight and plays well.

As with all these players, they need a run of games. Maybe Mourinho doesn’t feel he can finish 90 minutes, which is bizarre. The only way they will build match fitness is to play. Maybe he doesn’t feel he can trust him yet to follow orders but can trust Eriksen. We just need to move Eriksen on for so many reasons, lo celso being one of them.

Think it's just a case of injuries.

Rumour here in Argentina is that Setien might want to sign GLC for Barcelona next window (he managed him at Betis)

It's lazy journalism imo, but who knows

Well even when we have players out and a shit central midfield Lo Celso still can't get a game there so this wouldn't surprise me one bit. And he would start for then in their midfield 3 as well alongside Busquets and De Jong.

Where would he get in the side, given De Jong and Arthur are massive talents in midfield and obviously on the right you’ve got the little guy?

I reckon he just needs a break where circumstances means he's forced to start a league game or 2 and he'll take the opportunity with both hands.

So what do you guys reckon? If we haven't activated the buy-out clause this window, will that more or less mean that he goes back to Betis in the summer? If we don't manage to get top four, that is.

Sorry If I have misunderstood something. But if I have got this right it will cost more money to activate the buy out clause in the next window. We all know how our beloved leader operates and he will want to exercise that option now.

Levy will probably pay up for him now and try to get a huge fee out of them in the summer if true. Likelihood is it's just a lazy link from their history with Betis. It crossed my mind as soon as he got appointed.

Looked solid but not sure yet if he's really good or just ok. With Sissoko out and Eriksen hopefully sold soon he should get plenty of time to show what he's made of.
