It’s worrying because there’s been absolutely zero change to anything after the little new manager bounce. Obviously he’s not had a massive amount of time on the training pitch, but we’re still not running much, not competing for 50-50s, not working hard as a team. As a starting point, it’s a pretty worrying state of affairs.Feels like people forget how short time José has been here. Late November until now and people are already worried. I agree we need new players and something within the club seems wrong but I wouldn't throw the manager under the buss just yet.
I agree but I don't think the manager is the issue. There's something rotten within the player group, it's toxic and has been like that for a while. José needs time to identify the bad eggs and find replacements for them. This is just a personal feeling but I believe the players we need to move out are higher profile and will require alot of work to find replacements for. Sure he could play the kids but we wouldn't get results at all that way and it wouldn't give us anything for the future shattering the young players confidence. If we're not a force come the new season when José had a summer window to adress what needs to be done with the team then it's maybe time to start questioning the manager. Just my oppinion though. It’s worrying because there’s been absolutely zero change to anything after the little new manager bounce. This is no reflection on Mourinho but I wonder if the posters who were convinced Pochettino was the problem are still quite so convinced?
I see an experienced manager that knows exactly where the deficiencies in the team are and is looking increasingly frustrated. If we do the usual thing of waiting to get anyone in right at the last knockings (and failing) then I can seriously see him walking. He will want incomings, perhaps only one or two, and he will want them quickly, particularly a stand in striker.
Does he now? Our biggest deficiency is DM by a very big margin. Yet we don't seem to be after any DM. Not one DM has been linked in the media or by any ITK.
I hear what you’re saying about Dele, but I fear he really messes with the current team balance. He needs great players around him to thrive. Right now there’s a whole lotta average around him. So his weaknesses get accentuated. He gives the ball away so much and slows down the game to a crawl. That was in stark contrast today when Lo Celso and Lamela came on. Their quick movement and tenacity was so much better than Dele.Ramos won us a trophy, I know it's been so long since that's happend!
Dele has contributed to the points recently we have won and whilst having some shit time on the pitch he is no worse than the team on a whole!
The result was not 100% the fault of the coach. That doesn’t pass the straight face test. He can’t make players stop playing passively or making mistakes. Their goal came from Jan losing focus. Again. With the exception of Moura all of our players (until Celso and Lamela came on) were dreadful and lackadaisical.average squad or not you CANNOT tell me we shouldn't be beating the quality of a championship team.
That is 100% on the tactics of the manager
95% of media stories are bs. Why would you expect the media to get any one position of need right when they have a 5% hit rate?Does he now? Our biggest deficiency is DM by a very big margin. Yet we don't seem to be after any DM. Not one DM has been linked in the media or by any ITK.
Really struggling to understand how people are already writing off Mourinho. He has been at the club 6 weeks, tried almost every player in different positions and almost all of them have failed their audition. On top of that he has had injuries / suspensions to his key players in:
Lloris, Sanchez, Davies, Ndombele, Son and Kane.
Let’s give him atleast one summer window shall we, he has taken over a group of uninterested average footballers in all honesty and our best players are listed above in the injured/suspended group.

We have hired one of the highest rated young coaches in the world in Joao Sacramento and the other guys are all massively rated, so not sure why people think it’s just Mourinho on the training pitch. Let’s give them a bit of time.
