Tough to focus on individual players when it's all a total shit show but the ball needs to stick to him, Dele and Kane if we are going to get anywhere.

I cannot see why he has a spot as long as we have Kane. He drifts too much, and if I were to choose I would take Lamela any day.
Just lazy.

Moura is a squad player imo. To generate money I'd be willing to sell him along with others.

Lucas has been a weird signing. When we got him I was expecting a fun live-wire of a forward who would frustrate in terms of end product but if anything it's the other way. His end product is pretty good. His minutes per goal ratio last season was impressive and when he gets a chance in and around the box he tends to tuck it away. Even in the air despite his short stature. I reckon he is less wasteful in one on one situations than Son for example. But in build up play he is disappointing.

He's a striker not a winger and he's a good super sub. Pochettino probably utilized him in the best possible fashion.

One of the reasons for Kane and Ali not scoring is the supply and Moura apart from not scoring has nil ability to supply chances for others please can we not have this man start . I suppose now Kane is injured Jose will carry on using him for me he would never be a starter at best an impact sub that may come off but I doubt that also . I would rather see the youngsters given a chance they cannot do worse as he produces nothing but they might just do something with their youthful enthusiasm.

When he started off as wonderkid he was actually a centre forward well a false 9 more I watch him at spurs more I think he still is a striker as he looks so lost out wide and he doesn’t have the game intelligence to track runners etc he’s a luxury player

He's just nowhere near good enough. He does something good once every five games, if that. No wonder we got him on the cheap.

Another forward, like Lamela, who barely scores or provides assists.

Maybe Poch knew what he was doing not making him a regular starter..? ??‍♂️

Poch was spot on with this. Then again, it's not like Jose has much choice, Lamela is injured and Sissoko he played right once but has had to move to CM as we have injuries. Who else does Jose have to play WF?

I'm not using it as an excuse but injuries really have fucked us this season, like every season, we can never get our strongest team out on the pitch.

His passing is pretty poor. Got the ability to grab a goal, especially the instinctive kind where he doesn't have time to think however in terms of actually laying on goals for other through a clever pass etc, offers pretty much nothing. OK with him off the bench but as a regular starter, he just does no where enough in a run of games.

He’s the kind of player you turn to as a Plan B, when your tactics aren’t working and you need something unpredictable to change the game. He is not a starter as he is too erratic to base any strategy on

Lamela has 76 goals & assists in 202 games, that’s almost a goal or Assist every 2.6 game. It’s pretty decent considering he didn’t start every game + his injury record

Speaking of stats per game. I saw that Lucas has less goals per game in the PL than Chadli did. Based off Windys tweet.

After last game one thought struck me regarding Moura:
This guy looses the ball waaay to often. And when he lost the ball it gave southampton a chance to counter.

Same with Alli. As why we can’t rely on them in our attack.
