I will say it over and over again but Dele is a championship standard player when he plays this deep. You may as well say sit down unless he is going to start playing further up the pitch.

How can VAR take that long to reach a decision - I fucking hate Chelsea but that’s the most penalty penalty in the history of penalties.

my guess is that they don’t like overruling a ref’s decision so they made extra certain that they didn’t miss anything

What I find a bit surprising is that José realised quickly in the UCL match that he’d got things wrong and made a sub to correct it. Today he’s just sitting there watching us make the same mistakes and keep gifting the momentum to Chelsea.

I guess he was gambling on getting to half time. We need to get Moura and either Dier/Sissoko off, and try to get more control of the midfield.

A point today would be a very good one. Letting this lot go 6pts clear will be looked back on as a defining moment come the end of the season, I fear.

I know he is not our first choice keeper, but Gazzaniga does know he is allowed to use his hands right?

Ndombele and Lo Celso (and Eriksen) are the only ones with the technique and fearlessness on the ball in this entire squad and they're not in the team. Exasperating. We are wooden under pressure.

Regardless what happens, what will piss me royally off will be the likelihood of the same 11 players taking the field against Brighton.

Absolute no culpability for continued shit performances and i'm afraid Jose needs to wield the axe sooner than he'd like.

Ndombele, Lo Celso, Foyth, Winks, Skipp should be in - we all know that so why wait?!

Pretty funny half of so called football tbh. Good thing is Christmas so I'm not really fussed .

You'll never win a thing with dier, Sissoko and winks as midfield options. A pack of shite fullbacks and boring long ball counter attack tactics

RIP the good spurs
Hello again Classic Spurs

Dier is utterly useless. Why Ndombele continues to sit for him is infuriating.

Even though we are going to go on and win this game 4-2 we can’t forget how awful we were in the first half! We won’t get away with it when we start playing the better teams. We need to start putting in 90 minute performances.

That is up there with the worst of performances in recent times. Shocking the lack of creativity, hoofing the ball, misplaced passes. As for the keeper, why not use your hands... so so bad :/
Totally agree, feels like we have no midfield, massive gaps in centre of pitch that invites them forward everytime. Serious investment needed in team but that wont happen this season.

The ONLY positive out of that was that it was Alonso who got clattered

It's just Tottenham in a way, having three world class midfielders on the bench - all of them easily having the potential to start for the likes or Real & Barcelona - but we'd rather go with two bricklayers in Dier and Sissoko in midfield. Outclassed both on and off the pitch these 45. Mourinho apparently didn't see or care about the problems we had in midfield against Wolves. Good one

Dier has to be subbed, offers absolutely nothing at all. I think sissoko has played well.

Pathetic going forward. Sissoko has been our best offensive player and it's not even close.

I am sorry, this is the kind of game that got Poch sacked. Everyone was just simply poor. I am seriously wondering what Mourinho did for the past week with the team.
