6 pts off 4th. After this season so far, I'll take that. A signing or two in Jan is absolutely needed. Even if a slight premium needs paying

The results today bar Liverpool were incredible. Yes we were sloppy again but the improvements are for all to see. Haven’t we halved the points to 4th since he took over?

Also. Lee Mason was absolutely awful all game. Lerma should have been booked and sent off twice. Filthy toe rag. Exactly the same as the game at their place last season.

And the fitness levels of some players is absolutely shocking. A staff reshuffle was needed if only for that. Will take a few weeks to put right but my goodness, ball dropped on that front at the start of this season.

I think its gotta be a minimum of 5-0 with 10 minutes to go before I tell the missus.... I think we are going to win this one.

Sitting back and just trying to see the game out is asking for trouble anyway, particularly when we look very open in any case, but it's clearly been a mentality issue two weeks in a row. In to the final 15-20 mins both weeks and it's been people - Aurier, Sissoko, Alli, Son being the main culprits - losing all focus and either stopped working hard, been switching off, or fucked around with any ball we have had, or a combo of all three things.

I doubt this will be popular and most will say they were easy games bar silly goals, but I think all three games/scorelines are a fair reflection of what we're seeing so far. Attacking players have a lot of freedom and have had the time and space (some of it due to poor opposition tactical stuff, but we are trying to put quicker combinations together) can run riot, but we're so open throughout the 90 mins and that will always mean you're liable to concede and the switching off in the final quarter of games just compounds that.

Regarding handball, I don't see a problem with it. We have different rules for certain free-kicks, why is it a problem for certain handballs?

On offside decisions, to paraphrase the great Dominic Toretto, it doesn't matter if you're offside by an inch or a mile. Offisde's offside.

You have to remember the reason for offside. And who the hell is Dominic Toretto? ??

After sensibly realizing that Sissoko’s best(only) position is on the right in the 3 behind Kane JM completely screws everything up with his first substation. If he’s taking off NDombele then the obvious replacement is Lo Celso. Bringing on Lucas and moving Sissoko into midfield led to us losing control of the game and conceding 2 late goals for the second week running. Very disappointed with the lack of playing time for Lo Celso.

yep, and Liverpool are beyond us now anyway so I don’t care about them. I think we’ve got a great chance for 4th.

Is Kane really lazy, unfit or injured? Genuine question.

What game did you watch? Kane was everywhere today. Might not have scored but his link play and effort cant be questioned. He was tracking back their attackers when we lost the ball high up, usually the first to press their player in possession in our own half numerous times throughout.

It was about that. I forgot that citeh and chelsea played each other but we could have been looking at 12 pts the difference last week. It was only 9 in the end but before the change was made was anyone expecting us to rattle off two league wins to even try and close the gap?

Hopefully the youngish chelsea squad start looking over their shoulder and take their eye off the ball now.

There was some poor decision making when we were on the front foot which is to be expected as we try and ramp up to our top level but on another day we could have had 4 or 5 and we needed it. I think Jose is trying to bed in a more attacking approach than what he has done in recent years and we're seeing the effects of that combined with some personnel who we need to upgrade but I hope Jose doesn't lose confidence in this newer approach he's taking.
