‘Do you think losing the champions league final affected the spurs squad?’ .... ‘ I don’t know because I’ve never lost a champions league final’ ahaha

That will be the bit they soundbite but his full answer is good. References Liverpool and their reaction to losing it etc.

Guardian: Let’s do a little recap of what Mourinho said:
1. Pochettino is welcome back anytime
2. Mourinho has been smiling for two days
3. He has no current plans to sign new players in January
4. He is humble
5. He needed the time away from the game
6. Spurs can win the league next season
7. He now owns Spurs pyjamas
you missed how nice the pillows are at the Lodge.

I think he certainly will change some Spurs fans perception of him, especially the comment he made about there is no fan out there that wants Spurs to win more than him. I felt that was heartwarming and genuine.

I shall cast my vote now without even watching the rest of the press conference

Really impressed when he was talking about his expectations of the people working with him. He's not gonna put up with anyone who doesn't share his vision. Great press conference

That press conference gave you a little insight of how he mesmerises players... You can't help but fall into his spell.
Brilliant press conference, said everything and more what we needed to hear.

We've never had this much press before, ever. So much scrutiny on us now it's actually mental.

I hope those who say that the media have an agenda against us are gonna be ready for the next few years, we're gonna be at the top of a lot of columns for good and for bad.

Talking about media agendas, Mourinho is not a popular man in the English press at all. Sky seem to love him, but the journos I've read over the past couple of days really don't seem to like him at all.

Be interesting to see how that plays out over the course of the season.

Really good words about the players and how he’s not going to try and change everything at once but just wants to work to find out why we’ve been bad for a year and then install his principles as we go. He doesn’t want to overload the players with too much information but I get the feeling he knows they are good enough to perform and just getting that confidence back into them will help with results until he can mould the team.

So let’s hope for a new manager bounce because there’s a chance it will take a while to get his ideas across. He said himself he’s never taken over a team halfway through a season before so needs to learn quickly.

I’ll admit I hated him and when he was given the job I was fuming but I will give it to him he cane across well in the press conference. I just hope he stays like that and doesn’t go back his usual poisoners self.

I’m willing to give him the benefit of the doubt for now
