I actually don't mind Jose. Behind his oft-infuriating facade is a decent guy. There are some good "off-duty" interviews with him where he talks about how unimportant and overpaid he is compared to doctors, nurses, policemen etc. and muses on the excessive veneration of football in general.

Mourinho's been in the post for a long time. Not my idea of our ideal manager but I'll definitely give him the benefit of the doubt before I start knocking his appointment.

The pieces are all slotting into place nicely for a sustained push for silverware.

Most encouraging.

I am actually quite excited to see how this pans out. Poch seemed to have alienated a lot of people for one reason or another and I couldn't see him turning it around. Maureen could be a success or a complete train wreck but the new manager effect should see us get on a more even keel. A change is what was needed and we got it.

Found this
" he intends to sign goalkeeper coach Nuno Santos and João Sacramento (currently at Lille FC), Ricardo Formosinho, and Lille FC sports director Luís Campos "

The ones in bold are already in, so it may be true

Well, one thing's for sure, we're all going to finally find out whether Mourinho can manage a team on a budget.

Also as some minor ITK a mate of mine who used to work at Cardiff City's academy knew Joao Sacramento very well as he was his superior at the time - said he was a great lad to work with and had the attributes to become an excellent coach.

He was the first item on the Radio 1 news ahead of last night's political debate. The show is in town boys.

Strange nothing today. I suspect a Spurs TV appearance might be released though
