Is he going to take charge for West Ham? Just trying to work out when #JoseOut is going to start trending.
If you thought fans were fickle over Poch, this is going to be another level. This guy puts one foot wrong and there's a large proportion of angry fans ready to stick the boot in immediately. This will be repeated ad nauseam.
And if we get to summer 2021 without trophies, then fuck me. Been a complete waste of time hasn't it.
I said this in the Poch thread, the thing which Levy will never get is the mob mentality of match day going fans. Remember Stratford? Is this the first time Jose has turned up somewhere where a large section of the fans don't want him? And with Levy's transfer budget as well? Sounds like a complete car crash to me.
I guess the one good thing is spurs will probably be responsible for finally ending the legend of Joses ability to win trophies wherever he goes. Having said that, we'll be getting shit from Chelsea fans for years to come about "secret agent Jose".
Yeah, sounds wonderful, can't wait.
So Kane is the new Drogba, Dele is the new Lampard. Now we just need central defender who’ll shag his teammates wife.
Annnnnndddd... we’re good to go.
what crap - no wonder we never win things.
and at Man U he won two trophies and finished 2nd - better than poch
Do you honestly think his league cup win (edging past Hull in the semis by a goal and Southampton in the final by a goal) and UEFA win (struggling past the likes of anderlecht, rostock, and finally beating the talented by pre-pubescent Ajax) comes anywhere close to our CL run last season playing Inter, Barca, Dortmund, City, and an Ajax that had come of age?
It will be interesting to see what happens with both the players who want out at the end of the season and our young prospects Tanganga, Parott and Skipp.
I haven t been a fan of Mourinho's in the past but I can only get behind him and wish him to succeed with us.

genuinely gutted that weve appointed mourinho. he a classless self promoting bastard who leaves every team devasted in season 3.
I'm not sure how many of United's buys are actually the managers choices, I doubt doubt one or two are but wasn't Woodward and their transfer policy being vilified before Mourinho even took over at United? It certainly has been since, which leaves enough doubt as to who Mourinho actually wanted or not so that we can't be sure. Personally, I think their approach to transfers has been awful and my guess is that both Sanchez and Pogba were Woodward/commercially driven, not to mention in a way managing the expectations of United supporters that they sign the 'best' which in Woodward's mind probably means the most expensive. And now they are looking for a DoF aren't they? That's a failure on Woodward, it's only a matter of time before he gets the Spanish archer IMO.Are Jose's transfer targets going to be any more expensive than the one's Poch would've wanted?
I think it's going to be down to expectations like you say. He was hired at United with the expectation that he would challenge City for the title, but although he spent a lot of money there he was never given enough money to bridge the gap between them. I think City outspent United during his time there.
Can't agree with a lot of that.
Dalot - Just turned 20, not sure what you expect.
Lukaku - Scored more than a goal every other game during Jose's time there. Not a great all round player, but a good goal scorer. Not sure why people label him a failure at United.
Sanchez - Complete disaster, but not sure if Jose wanted him?
Bailly - Looked good until the injury. Can't really blame Jose for that.
Pogba - No doubt about his ability, but his attitude seems to be awful. They'd probably make money if they sold him.
Mkhhitaryan - He was OK. Not great, not awful.
So Fred and Sanchez were the only really bad signings. Every club makes a few bad signings - just look at some of the players Pep brought in and then replaced within a season or two.
I literally was about to post a joke about Matic coming to SpursWill this also mean Nemanja Matic to Spurs?
i wonder who the back room staff will be?
Unfortunately we have a lot of fans that are dicks and will be delighted when we lose under Mourinho. I agree with you. If he doesn’t get off to a good start it could be terrible. We better get behind the team on Saturday then and cheer then on. Unfortunately I don’t think the fans will.
I sincerely hope that those of you who were happy to give Poch more time, despite him having nearly a year, will now be open to giving Mourinho, statistically one of the greatest managers of all time, a chance to be a success at this club.
