This is a great image with hindsight of how the scrums went after that. Sink was amazing.

Out of interest, what score line, or what would you have needed to see in that last 15mins or so of that game for you to think the extra weeks rest was an advantage.

Afterall your argument before the game was “I dunno guv we’ll have to wait and see”

I don't see how any scoreline proves anything. You'd literally need some sort of heart monitor, or lactic acid measurer, against the minutes played, and then some sort of evidence that one team weren't just fitter anyway.

So to sum up, claiming that the result was 'evidence' of anything is really clutching.

But you can still rely on the Australian mistakes and the ref as being the only reason we won if you want (y)

Not just talking the result though it certainly can be an indicator. Work rate at the breakdown especially but set piece too are crucial but you can tell who’s really suffering but I guess you’ll just say you’re a lot fitter because you were never going to accept the fact that there’s any possibility that playing a game less and having a week off which gives you more prep time to study and train in all likelihood was an advantage.

Like I’ve said a hundred times, I don’t even think it was a deciding factor. Maybe if the scores were level with 15mins left and you score 10plus points in the last 10mins or whatever then maybe but that’s not how it went down.

I haven't said it didn't make a difference, but I don't think anything in that match was evidence of it being a factor at all.

If England had played France I'm confident they would have beaten Australia in a similar way.

And to be fair having seen how easily England swatted Australia aside, I'd now be asking questions about the previous Welsh performance against them.

Fortunately for Wales they've probably got one of the weaker quarter finalists so they'll be more than fine.

Ireland haven’t looked at it all tournament. Feel this could get embarrassing.
