I think he’s about done. I think Levy might be looking at Jose’s phone number tonight or tomorrow. We know Levy doesn’t hang around.

His fate will be decided if we go out at the group stages of the champions league, no manager walks after a penalty shootout defeat in a league cup match

It's not nostalgia glasses - it's that not all fans are impatient and are prepared to give a man a bit of time to get things right. I agree that things aren't great though.
How much time? The decline since 16-17 has been clear to see. Two years is the average lifespan of a manager these days - to have survived two whole years purely of decline without even coming under significant pressure before tonight is amazing. It's a testament to how good a job he did in his first three years. But the last couple, culminating in over six months worth of relegation form, no domestic away wins in that time, and the worst defeat we've had in the club's modern history are a bridge too far. It's not impatient to say that after two years the odds are that while he was the man to build the club up, he's not the man to turn it around.

People need to calm down a touch. Cup upsets happen every season to at least one big team. It’s not like anyone will give a shit come Saturday either. Hopefully this acts as a wake up call, if not then we are in trouble.

How in the FUCK did these same group of players make a champions league final less than 4 months ago

Well, technically, because VAR saved us from Eriksen that time.

Son has always put in a shift, and I feel sorry for him.

Starting to worry that, as per Spurs usual form, buying big has buggered us up again.

I only hope that with this cup out of the way we can move on.

We played an experimental team of second choice and third choice players tonight and we didn't do well enough. We dominated, but expected the goal would just come. The midfield was all wrong and we were too slow on the ball, and too predictable. We didn't set the team up in the right way but I have a feeling Poch really doesn't give a fuck about this competition.

Perhaps he should because with us playing the way we have so far this season top 4 and CL progression aren't nailed on and a trophy could make the difference between him keeping his job and getting the sack.

Simeone in please, if only for the possibility he will slap the taste out of Eriksen’s mouth before he skulks out the door

How embarrassing. Big problems with this squad they are not all pulling in the same direction anymore. This should act a big wake up call to Pochettino and his decisions from now on. You either want to play for this great club or you don’t. Running your contract down you don’t play. Looking for another club don’t want to be here, you don’t play.
I don’t care if we finish mid table and play youngsters who want to play for us and start again next season.

Here's the thing about if things get so bad that Pochettino leaves or is sacked, does anyone have faith we'll get in a decent replacement? ENIC are about 1.5 for 11 in picking good managers. Tim bloody Sherwood was our manager before this.

This is all a nightmare.

It sounds mental, but I could see Poch leaving sooner rather than later. Be it by choice or by force.

We absolutely cannot afford to waste the last season with the likes of Eriksen, Toby, Vertonghen, and the possibility of more leaving. If that means getting a new manager in to motivate the squad then so be it.

Either he's real clueless, real great man to give game time to three fellas but all of them have joint less than half an hour of game time since beginning of season, or he is just trolling us.

I think he really is trolling us for such stupid tactical decision YET AGAIN.

Yes, because a professional football manager of elite caliber who's pay is probably linked to wins and achievements would select a team to "troll" us. Give me a break. He played them because they all needed game time and he probably felt like matching up to their physicality was half the battle. It wasn't. He fucked up, but it was hardly sabotage.

He might not give a fuck about this competition but it also appears that he might not care too much about his job either.
