Right on cue. Really wish he'd stop saying this kinda shit - Redknapp didn't get away with it for long.

Alright Poch, it's been great but it's time for an amicable parting of the ways. Comments like these are disrespectful. I can't help but think he's bought into his own hype ever since that book.

IF Poch goes, any top manager would be a pipe dream. While at this point, that should be our market, it isnt when the chairman has a history of never backing the manager. We'll get Howe, you'll all be upset for about 2 minutes before going back to praising Levy's name.

I read the other day that Zidane has a release clause of 80 mill if they sack him Poch is looking at 30-40 mill to get out of the deal. Not sure if the Zidane figures are true but if they are, cant see them paying all that tbh.

Poch stays and I'm happy, I believe he will turn it around.

Poch goes, we get another manager you're all so desperate for. Few months later we're even worse and finish par (6th) or worse, and I have a good old laugh at this thread in retrospect. And the subsequent I miss poch threads / levy is the true villan threads :ROFLMAO:

What a time to be alive !

Managers don't have "release clauses" that come into play if they're sacked.

I think you're missing the point. I think most people want Poch to stay but if HE WANTS TO GO then that's something else all togther.

And that in itself is the probable root of our problems.

Who’s all?
Not everyone wants him gone, in fact it’s probably just a small minority.

But the timing of this isn’t great now is it? Just tell the interviewer to leave it, you know like he does in press conferences when talking about other teams players or our players who might be looking to leave.

It’s really not fucking tricky

He's referring to paying off the rest of his contract to get rid of him.
You're right its not a release clause as such.

Just like we have a good laugh everytime Kane puts one into the net.

Glad you posted that as I was making myself a hat out of foil as feel like the old Spurs propaganda machine has done a fantastic job of painting Poch as the villian with various bits of information coming out and has swayed the overall opinion.

Feel like everybody has forgotten how annoyed they were for Poch and was praying he'd stick with it whilst we get through that storm when he had no signings and was facing stadium delay after stadium, now hes actually shown frustration and people are offended by it.

Im not going to defend the performances because objectively they were poor last season, this season weve seen a few signs of improvement albeit with some poor decisions being made but fuck me if people couldnt wait to turn it all on Poch and forget all the issues faced up til this point.

Redknapp did a hell of a lot for us, but in reality he flirted with the England job far less, and yet got a lot more stick that Poch has so far.

He used to be really good at that kind of stuff, but in more recent times... not so much. Wouldn't surprise me if both Poch and Eriksen ended up at Madrid, based on the way it's all lining up.

And guess what kind of questions every press conference for the foreseeable future will involve.

Exactly this.

When Van Gaal and Mourhino managed Man Utd, did they say that unless it's the Prem or CL they didn't care? No, they went and won the League cup and Europa League.

We've been in positions to do the same, easy. And we've passed them up because it's the league or cl or bust.

You don't get a winning mentality unless you actually win things.

not being funny, but if the domestic cups where to be passed over the league as you put it, why make such an effort getting to the EFL Final, and a Semi, and 2 FA Cup semis. if we had no interest in them, we would put the kids out and rest the 1st team, not bring Kane on when 6-0 up away to Tranmere
