I love Poch as much as the next guy but its frustrating to see people act like Poch isnt being disrespectful to us and causing problems for no reason at the moment. He could easily refuse to answer questions but instead he adds fuel to the fire constantly.

not being funny, but if the domestic cups where to be passed over the league as you put it, why make such an effort getting to the EFL Final, and a Semi, and 2 FA Cup semis. if we had no interest in them, we would put the kids out and rest the 1st team, not bring Kane on when 6-0 up away to Tranmere
Do you honestly think Poch was worried that Tranmere would score 6 late goals, so brought Kane on to be sure of victory?

Yep. Klopp never even entertains the idea about leaving or throwing his future into doubt. The fact that our performances have been utter shit for a year now. We also get the manager constantly spouting in public that he may leave, is it any wonder we have players and a squad that looks demotivated?

I think Levy has a decision to make sooner rather than later. It feels like Spurs are a bit of a circus and has been for a while. Constant speculation about Poch leaving is wearing thin now. Maybe it be best for all concerned to part ways and start a new project with an elite manager who has actually won major trophies who can show our squad what it takes to win big games.
Klopp did say he wouldn't know what would happen in the next two or three years. He didn't say he would be managing Liverpool for the foreseeable future. So yes, he did throw his future into doubt this summer gone.

Fair point, well said.
Got to say that I know nothing about Espanyol, or Poch's time there.
I know that he said it was going to be a painful transition but maybe I didn't really believe him. After all, I tend to think of transition as being a massive squad overhaul and that didn't happen, for whatever reasons.
Although maybe not to Liverpool and City standards, I expected us to be more competitive than we are showing so far this season.

if Rose, Aurier, Toby, and Eriksen had moved on in the summer it would have been a massive overhaul

Oh come on that’s completely different. He says he doesnt know if he will be at Liverpool beyond the end of his current contract which still has another three years to run.

Completely different to what Poch has been doing the last 18 months, can’t you see the difference?

Glad you posted that as I was making myself a hat out of foil as feel like the old Spurs propaganda machine has done a fantastic job of painting Poch as the villian with various bits of information coming out and has swayed the overall opinion.

Feel like everybody has forgotten how annoyed they were for Poch and was praying he'd stick with it whilst we get through that storm when he had no signings and was facing stadium delay after stadium, now hes actually shown frustration and people are offended by it.

Im not going to defend the performances because objectively they were poor last season, this season weve seen a few signs of improvement albeit with some poor decisioms being made but fuck me if people couldnt wait to turn it all on Poch and forget all the issues faced up til this point.
Dude, I don’t want him gone.

But come on, all he has to do is keep his mouth shut.

no, but playing on a shitty pitch I'd of rather we never used him, but to say we bin the cups is ball, we just don't get it right on the day. Moses dives over Son gets a penalty, Moses did the same in the final and got a red

We don't bin them, but they are by no means a priority to Poch.

2016:

2017:

Im not saying it doesnt irritate the shit out of me but im saying that this isnt evidence of him wanting out because he consistently talks like this, he doesnt rule things out and has always talked about how things can change quickly.

Id rather he ruled it out but I think the current mood is causing the reaction, the reality is he has always been like this.

Id much prefer he did, I think it undermines the desire to ask for total commitment from the team but as ive said hes always been like this.

It’s not so much the current situation for me, it’s the fact he made such a big thing about uncertainty over players leaving/staying in the summer causing unrest in the squad.

Now he goes and causes unnecessary uncertainty about himself.

He says “I hope to continue like this, but in two, three years I don’t know what may happen. Maybe I’ll retire. It doesn’t necessarily mean it will happen, but if that were the case, you wouldn’t be surprised.”
Now yes, it's not as vague as Poch has been over recent months, but it's not shooting down the question ether. Fact is, it's enough to make a sound bite or headline out of it. Poch will often say one line then follow it up with saying he is happy etc. But take the one line out of context and suddenly it's as if he is diving for the exit.

Now I'm not saying Poch doesn't want to leave, infact I didn't even mention Poch in my first post. All I pointed out is Klopp would have known that headline would make waves and he said it anyway. And he didn't say, I'm Liverpool until I die and I'm not even thinking of leaving like some are suggesting.

if they weren't a priority he wouldn't try and get as far. I wished I could find the interview where he said, the 2 domestic cups won't take us to the next level compared to the PL or CL. if we won 1 of the domestic cups this season and finished 5th or 6th do you really think that if the players who want to leave for success will extend their contracts or think hmmm CL football get a bigger bonus playing in that
