Unbelievable, the only weak mentality around our club is in this thread.

Every time we lose, it's bottle, its mentality and its a thousand other reasons on top, in fact today, according to a bloody lot of you in this thread, VAR cost us and the referee cost us, how strange that after the game finishes it's suddenly not that, its our weak mentality or bottle. What a fucking fairytale.

The majority of those players have shown mentality plenty of times but no, fuck that, we lost so its 'bottle', when we show some nads its not possibly that we actually do have bottle, its written off as 'lucky'
Sorry A&C disagree look at our form guide it doesnt lie my friend, its relagation material. We pay lots of money to watch Spurs and are enttitled to our opinion. We had a great run in the champions league but thats as far as it goes. We dont even look like a strong side lost again from a winning position. Whether you like it or not its on Pochs head hes the manager and his subs today were inexcusable and im affraid its coming to the end of his winless tenure.

Why is it a disgrace? Don’t get when people/pundits say this. He was offside, by an elbow or 5 feet it doesn’t matter. The rules are the same for both sides

The point is that its not exact. It's been admitted and proven that they don't have the technology to actually determine it, so they're just guessing

At 0-2 up that was just about the perfect away performance against a quality opponent.

Then VAR makes a call. We lose. And now a healthy dose of Spurs fans are calling for the manager to be sacked.

Just has that feel to it. A bad bad feel.
Because they think a n other will come and save the day, until that goes tits up then they'll call for b n other etc etc
I'm not happy with the way things are going at the moment but theres a lot to be said for stability, do we really want to rip everything up and start again

Next week when we smash Southampton at home all the Poch out people will be right back on his side

Worth a gamble. Like i said, it can't get any worse than this. We need to at least learn how to defend.
I think maybe would be a good move. It’s been said that he had a soft spot for us, although I have no idea why that should be. Maybe his son had a Spurs’ players shirt lol.

I suspected this for a while now...The Vertonghen Toby partnership is shit living off season's past. Honestly we are far better off with Sanchez (pace and power) in the middle with one of the others, Vertonghen is still the best left back at the club. Over all it was fairly weak we did not manage the game or kill it off the worse thing was the finishing we had the opportunities to win the game but for poor finishing and decision making we let it slip again.

Poch has his work cut out no question now, not that his lost the dressing room but far too many players are comfortable....far too many players ie Son Rose Vertonghen Toby not up to standard. Ndombele I will allow some grace he did get a bit better as the game went on. A draw would of been fair but to lose this game was poor. The worse thing was as soon as our second goal was disallowed you felt you knew we'd crumble.

Gonna put this out there cos it's raw BUT

I'd take the short-termism of a Mourinho. Might win something. What are we building to under Poch? Nothing.
TBH it's just big bank take little bank - football is no more a sport than music is an art. Everyone wants to make money eventually.

I wonder how many games we will have to
lose, how many games will we have to throw away, how many tactical errors Pochettino will have to make before he’s no longer untouchable.

I like the guy, but football is a ruthless business. It’s clear we need change. Our extended form shows this, clear as day.

Said the squad isn't stronger than last year in the press conference.

Excuses.

Yes, there hasn't been enough investment on the playing side for too long but no one can say that we are worse than last season in terms of playing resources.

We are mentally weak. One bad decision goes against us and we crumble. Lack of any backbone and a poor tactical performance from the manager.

Ndombele was bought to be our midfield master - but when the going got tough today, he was no where to be seen. Maybe he's not fit enough yet, but even then, the effort just looks really poor. Same with Aurier.

Obviously, Poch has messed with a couple of our other on-field leaders, particularly Toby and Verts, and they don't seem to be the same as they were previously.

The manager appears lost to me and has reverted to unnecessary meddling. Sanchez as a right back? Dropping Vertonghen? Eriksen dropped, then back again, then dropped again. Same with Alli, Moura. And others.

Everyone and everything just looks off. Not sure where we go from here but Poch has to fix it or be gone.

The most frustrating thing about VAR wasn’t the offside, it was the red card. It’s a straight leg, over the ball challenge. How can VAR not intervene. This “clear and obvious” ruling is redundant. They never intervene.

Oh well. Social media switched off for the day, MOTD taken off record, radio muted.

See you all next week.

Yep I'm done with the forum for another week

Too many bitter negative kneejerk ***** crawling around lately , can't stand it

Whether he got his players or not or whether the squad is better or not is irrelevant.

Either way, he is getting far less than the sum of its parts from the squad he has, by a long long way.

No away win since January, And literally bottom half form doesn't reflect the tools at his disposal

Poch needs to go back to basics.
Forget rotating for a few weeks and pick the best available side in the best formation and stick with it

Poch has a couple of matches to turn this around, to be fair. Feel sad about it cos things were looking so promising. Don’t see him doing it for us anymore. Been given a lot of leeway due to the CL run but something is deffo wrong in his head with tactics and subs and he’s been far, far too stubborn. Shame but you’ve got to move on at some point and before a deeper rot sets in. Also Kane is never gonna be the player he was, in my opinion those ankle injuries have destroyed him. Still think there’s some shit going on behind the scenes too, all these players not being chosen to start. Really down on things. Sorry to sound negative.
But Alli has been a total waste of time for a good 12 months now. He doesn't deserve to start

Great goal by Kane, however, his generql play throughtout the game was poor. Have the players lost their respect for Poch and not playing towards the managers plans? We lost tghree precious points today and most probasbly we will drop to seventh or eight in the table now. At presenr, does not look too bright.
Really can't see this lot getting top four this isn't about being slow starters that is bollocks, but something isn't working or isn't right that much is clear.
Team cannot defend and you can't keep giving away two goals a game simply isn't good enough for anyone let alone a so called pretender.
