I mean, I don’t love the way that the window seems to be fizzling out, but I think we might be reading way to much into this.

If I tell the group of beat reporters adamantly that I’m not going to answer any question regarding xfers anymore on Friday, and then 3 days later, I get a question about transfers, I could understand a prickly response.

I mean he’s said this loads of times now.
He has, but second season in a row he's been evidently unhappy.

There is absolutely no excuse for not investing in the squad. Our revenue has increased from last season, the stadium uncertainty is over, we've just made the CL final so our stock is high too.

It may be small, but I think there is a chance of a shock resignation. We only need to sign Lo Celso or an equivalent player now, I really don't think it's too much to ask considering the factors mentioned above.

Imo he is saying the club changed his role to “Manager” and it should change back to coach - because what he says about transfers doesn’t happen.

He should be comfortable with it by now. The way Tottenham operate

Though to be fair the club tricked me briefly with NDombele and Clarke, I'm like oh shit we've really changed our ways! Gonna just spend big and compete with city

But really it's the same old , can't really spend big unless we sell big too. Gotta play brinkmanship games till the final day of the window to get the deal we want.

So can we once and for all stop with the "Poch turned down X player, Levy tried!" that has been going on, especially last summer.

Well Then I will salute you and DL until next summer. See what i want is our club do well and its time now to go for the big things. I don't support DL or anyone else just want us to get some success after lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng time.

I want success but signing Lo Celso and Sessengnon when they can't provide won't bring us success

I support Levy, I never in a few windows, but I remember where we was in the 90's. if someone told you in the 90's we would be where we are now, you would of called the men in the white coats.

I'm gutted we haven't won the FA Cup since 1991, look what nearly happened to us with that chairman. when everything went wrong for us the game changed and we haven't had the 20 odd years to build like United, Liverpool and Arsenal did, all that had bigger stadiums then us as well. we never had Abramovic or the Sheik take us over and get in their before FFP kicked in. the only way was to build a stadium that will help us catch up a bit, but it happened at a time we found a manager that would take us to the next step.

you tell me of another club that has done what we have. hopefully soon the stadium will take us up another step or 2

Poch is part of the transfer committee isn't he? (serious question for those transfer experts in the know)

What's more frustrating is he knows he'll get asked exactly the same questions after tomorrow's game.

I think 95% of the people on this forum support Levy but a lot of them are now of the opinion that the brinkmanship games have become self-defeating.

Smells of the same problem that we had last season, and to be quite honest I suspect it's a combination of MP and DL's fault.

DL's due to his haggling and overcaution in getting the players on Pochettino's list, but also possibly MP's inflexibility in terms of being able to work with only a very small pool of scouted players as sometimes you can't get your top target for reasons out of your control.

This combination is a recipe for huge gaps in the squad. Poch identifies say only 2 players for each position, DL fails, Poch refuses alternatives. Rinse and repeat.

The reality is there are still plenty of players out there that would improve us. I think both sides need to show more flexibility if our transfer strategy is to improve. Levy needs to make more of an effort to get players higher on the list, but Pochettino needs to be more adaptable to accommodate 3rd and 4th choice options if deals can't be secured.

I am sure joe lewis is richer than Abramovic. But our ownership is not trying to spend their own money rather to earn money via the club and use some of it. For every 90s there are 80s and 6os if you don't believe me ask @Ronwol196061 as he was around at that time.

Yes he will, until he gives a much more reasonable answer to the press.
Of course he knows what is going on.

I thought this was the GLC thread but I seem to have entered into the Poch is mad at Levy and Joe Lewis should use his own money to buy players thread.

hard to know what to make of this when its obviously untrue. If Poch and Levy really dont communicate regularly about transfers Id be flabbergasted.
