Woodagate taking over as Manager of Middlesbrough and bringing Keano in as his assistant.
Obviously Woody has a long history with the club but.....they are a decent side for him to take over on his first appointment. They missed the playoff by a point last year, i figured they would have chased a promotion specialist after Pulis's exit.
Allegri would be my guess.
Yeah, I definitely heard that the wheel's still turning but the hamster's dead.Sure I read something once about Woodgate being a genuine thicko. Good luck to him though.
Birmingham are such a weird club, or rather their board and owners are so weird. Monk did a good job with a load of nothing last season, even with the points deduction they were never in danger of relegation, and then they sack him because, quote.Gary Monk sacked by Birmingham.
"The board of directors are hopeful that over time the team can adopt a fresh and modern footballing philosophy," a statement said.
Gary Monk sacked by Birmingham.

It's like when they sacked Rowett and brought Zola in all over again. Remind me, how did that work out?
By all accounts Monk threatened to walk if they sold Jota, who left for Villa this month, so there must have been some tension there that the owners decided they didn't want around. It does seem like there's more to it than just style of football. From what I've read the fans seemed to like him so it's not like they were demanding the change.
It's going to interesting to see who they appoint now.
Whenever I see his name mentioned I always think of the Monkfish sketch from The Fast Show

Still think it's a weird decision. Brum fans now want Hughton and are worried Monk will go to Derby when Lampard is appointed at Chelsea.
Slaven Bilic to West Brom is a very interesting move.
'Bilic to the Baggies'
Sounds like an album title

Hughton would do a good job, but I don't see how his style could be described as "a fresh and modern footballing philosophy". The owners have backed themselves into a bit of a corner.
Derby would probably make sense for Monk. I could see that happening if Lampard leaves.
