Dreadful performance. The amount of times are forward passes don't reach their man, are waste of time set-pieces and lack of quality final balls.

I'd force all the Spurs players involved to watch this, like we all have. See how much they squirm.
Why?
It's not Foyth, Skipp, N'Koudu, KWP or Llorente's fault we didn't bother to strengthen a knackered squad and that they're barely good enough as back up players.
We've lost this because of a deluded idea we can't upgrade our squad. Our very best 11 is hard to upgraded, but we've only got about 4 of them fit.
We should have been looking at decent squad players who aren't gonna displace someone's but capable of replacing them whenever needed.

Missing Kane, Dele, Eriksen, Son was always gonna end up with a completely impotent display.

Credit to Levy, Poch and the players - of all our trophyless seasons, this one has had a certain added feeling of disappointment and is up their with my very favourites.

Jesus christ there's a lot of cry babies on this site. So we lost an away FA cup tie against a prem league club with a severely depleted and rotated squad. It's not like our best team were out today. How can they be expected to have any cohesion? And slagging off Skipp? On his 2/3rd appearance at 18 years old?

Shame on you.

Skipp is 18. Eighteen. Of all the people you can very reasonably blame for today, he ain't the one I'd pick out.

Indeed. If it weren't for all the injuries he would be being used more sparingly. He'll be a regular starter alongside Winks in two years.

yup poch prioritised 4th. saving him to team up with son for the league game.

Could not agree more. Total sense from Poch. 4th is our priority. We simply don’t have the financial capability to be a Man City or United. Always uncomfortable watching our beloved team lose a game but I’m not going to lose sleep over this one. Good opportunity for our irregular players to get some game time.

Never done one of these threads during a game before. Some absolute highlights;

Think skipp has been decidedly average.
Foyth, Lamela and Walker Peters vs Crystal Palace here.

The rest are League 1 level
Lamela is just the worst. The worst.

I’m done.
Personally think tonight has been close to sackable offense and evidence why Poch has won fuck all as manager.
Walker Peters is fucking shit
KWP, Trippier, Wanyama, Nkoudou and Llorente need to all leave.
N koudou, Llorente and Trippier are embarrassing

Skipp looks pretty basic,
I don’t see what Skipp offers at all

Congratulations to one and all.

Must have been or else he is only fixed this season on regaining a top 4 spot

But that’s exactly what he’s fixed on.

This isn’t a “statement” to Levy or anything like that.

Poch has been told that we absolutely must have CL football at the new stadium, which he knows we won’t move into until next season.

Nothing else matters except finishing in the top 4.

Poch sees zero value in the domestic cups and only wants success in the PL and CL - which he knows we’re nowhere near ready to compete for yet.

When has any of this been a secret?

Foyth's performance was one of the few positives. A few more like that and I'd be putting him ahead of Sanchez in the pecking order.

We really haven't.
Unless we win the Champions League or the Premier League this season (and I'll have some of what whoever wants to argue we have a chance at either of those is smoking), ENIC have presided over a new low of the club failing to win a trophy in a decade for the first time since WW2. That makes me feel pretty low, tbh.

Trippier - tries to be too smart. Thinks he’s better than he is. Over complicated on set pieces.
Walker-Peters- found out being out of position at LB for a lack of left foot, keeps trying to come back in, contrast that to his games at RB.
Nkoudou - anonymous
Moura - anonymous
Llorente - anonymous
Lamela - busy but indecisive, wants too many touches

Absolutely no cutting edge today.
Just found out wanting too much. There has been little to no movement off the ball, the players look like they don’t know each other. This looks reminiscent of the AVB day’s.
If the club don’t go out this week and do whatever is needed to bring in a couple of ready to go additions, not projects, then I reckon we get used to that kind of performance. Get used to seeing europa league on a Thursday in our new stadium, and kiss goodbye to Alderweireld, Eriksen etc.
