That's what I've been saying all day. Passing people off now. Fuck em. Peroni!!!
Liar!!As I say, appreciate him, because he might not be here forever.
Lampard was much more involved in midfield game play, and saw much more ball, and was much less wasteful with it, albeit often in a 3, not a 2.
He's changed no more games positively this season than Son has. He's got talent, and he had a good second half tonight, but he's been fucking woeful for too many games this season, and even tonight in the first half, goal aside, he continually gave the ball trying stupid nutmegs (I stop counting when he lost his fourth).
I don't think it's all his fault, personally I think we won't get the best out of Alli until we can get him into a similar Lampard/Pogba type role and he develops better composure with maturity.
He plays differently to Lampard, for sure - because he's got the legs to go beyond the striker and behind the defence. Lampard never had that and adapted his game suitably, joining in the the attack late at the right time. Different players.
As I say, appreciate him, because he might not be here forever.
Lampard wasn't as good as him at the age of twenty, so your comparison isn't correct. That said, Alli has glitter in and out of games, but that's to be expected in a player of his age.Lampard was much more involved in midfield game play, and saw much more ball, and was much less wasteful with it, albeit often in a 3, not a 2.

They fucked us in the ass towards the end of last season, but yeah!Told you we'd win.
We are Southamptons bogey team
He's not the messiah - he's just a kid learning the game. As fans we've got to understand that too. At the moment he wants every pass to be a killer one, every touch to be a nutmeg. He's got to learn percentages without losing the killer instinct. It will come with experience and good management.I appreciate the moments of clarity, I don't really appreciate the game after game of fumbling away possession cheaply.
That pass was inch perfect whatever they say. It's not a fluke. From the replay, you can see that the ball is hit straight at Son. What the deflection does is change the angle of flight just slightly so that Son is running "onto" the ball rather than having to check his run to receive it, which he would have had to do without the deflection.
The deflection helped, but the pass was far from a fluke.
BC just remember Dele is 20 so he has still got much to learn - what he has achieved in first 50 games is only a guide to what we hope he will develop in to. (Think your comparisons of Lampard play refer to a much more mature Frank).
We're currently quoting one another in retrospect, you saw it one way, I saw it another. Let's agree to disagree.
That's football eh.
Never a man to go chasing the green, I have to put my hand on my heart and say I thought he was poor tonight. And that's exactly what I was thinking just before he bagged his second. He gave the ball away too cheaply too often and is a factor in our laboured build-up play, IMO. Clearly the boy has talent but I don't quite know what his best position is.I appreciate the moments of clarity, I don't really appreciate the game after game of fumbling away possession cheaply.
15mins? Thats when I turned it off as I couldn't watch it anymore I was getting so angry.Shame of quoting my own post notwithstanding, Poch's post match interview shows that he clearly wasn't impressed with that first 15 mins either. Great result and overall great performance, but it could quite easily have gone the other way.
He is indeed the Schrodinger's cat of the football world. Easier to deal with now that balls are going in the net. but earlier this season it was frustrating.Great result. After all the teams above us won their games there was a bit of extra pressure, and obviously going a goal down so early didn't help. But we stuck with it and delivered a miserable Christmas to what I consider to be a pretty annoying group of fans.
Alli somehow in his worst and best form simultaneously.
Hopefully it bodes well for the second half of the season that we've played very casually in a lot of games. Hopefully when we do click into action we won't burn out this time.
