A win today will have us finish 2nd in the 2016 PL table

Will mean we have had an excellent 2016 with 71 points from 37 games

Only Chelsea have more

Given our late season collapse and this seasons slow start, that's actually not bad.

We didn't have a "slow start" this season. That was last season. This season we got 17 points from our first 7 matches and were in 2nd place. Last season we got 12 points from our first 7 matches and were in 5th place. Neither is exactly a "slow start", but we fairly shot out of the blocks this season, with 5 wins, 2 draws and 0 losses.

This has that feeling of an essential win, with every other side in the top 7 winning, which unfortunately over the last year we haven't been able to pull off these big results when they are 100% essential. Especially when playing last as we saw at the end of last season.

Lets hope we've learnt from that, and of course recognise that this lot were part of what fucked us last season. They absolutely hate us and I'm sure their fans will be bang up for it. Austin being out is a bonus but we are gonna need an early goal to settle the team fans down

Looking forward to tonight's game seems like an age since we last played. Christmas isn't the same without a few Spurs games thrown in

Expecting a fast paced game tonight as both teams have had a 10 day break. Christmas lethargy shouldn't be an excuse, both sets of players will be champing at the bit after watching all the teams around us win in the last 2 days.

Excited, and I'm hoping we will just edge it. 3-1 with an injury time goal on the break to finish the game after a nervy last 20 minutes or so.

I'm worried about this one with it being an evening KO, their fans will be right up for it and we'll need a very quick and aggressive start (something that I think has been lacking from many of our matches this season) to have any chance of dampening their crowd. Honestly, I think we might come unstuck here tonight, which would be disastrous given the other results this weekend.

Let's hope that I'm wrong and look like a **** as per usual!

Could not agree more, tonight is the biggest test of our mentality and how far we have come under Poch, this is often a game we would fuck up and make no mistake, they will be bang up for it, we will need to be at our best.

Essential we get a result tonight to keep pace.
