Not really, his hit rate is superb.I'm not advocating COYS style ITK roasting but the whole "I don't believe the bad news because JJ is still positive" stuff is just beyond silly.
Still, each to their own.

Delete my account when you see this, I don't care.
All these 'ITK's' are complete and utter c**ts.
The genius Goat who has his own section on this forum has literally never got anything right! "Spurs have £40m overdraft at the ready" good one you clown.
The admins of this site shouldn't sanction such bull shit idiots as they get people's hopes up and then the fans get more annoyed as it becomes an expectation cos some Virgin had nothing else better to do than to make up rumours.
Now we have a meltdown...
Yep. As mad as it sounds, within the next 5 years, a player like Berahino could be going for £35-40m rather than £20-25m.I thinks it time our club recognizes the fact that with huge influx of TV money, a deal worth of 25m (let alone 15m) will no longer guarantee buying a good player within PL. Even Blackburn Rovers relegated 3 years ago can afford to keep a 35k a week striker, rejecting 12m deal.
Someone mentioned this in this thread over the last few days but I really miss SS57's ranking of how ITKs stack up.Not really, his hit rate is superb.
Still, each to their own.
This is the bit that worries me far more than not getting a striker or DM - why the fuck were we looking to sign the likes of Berahino and McCarthy in the first place for £40+ million? Bera especially isn't the right fit for us, he won't hold the ball up, his work rate is questionable and a player more unlike Kane you'd struggle to find. We need a link man who'll work hard, hold the ball up, bring others in and hassle the back 4.
As for a DM we need someone better than what we have, a proper screening CM who uses the ball intelligently and quickly, who has some authority, who wants the ball, shows for it and leads by example.
Neither player is easy to find for different reasons but that doesn't mean we should settle at very high prices for a bad fit/mediocrity. We've had that shit already with the likes of Soldado and Paulinho etc. and I thought we were now being smarter? What's happened may turn out to be a blessing but only unless our scouts/management identify the right types of player going forward. Let's hope Berahino makes his peace...
BEST POST OF THE DAY BY A MILE
just not sure about the rotation - if it were up to me I'd make sure that for every away Europa game the following were left at home:The squad has been upgraded and there is enough to rotate and still field string teams.
The Europa League is crucial for development (not only young players) but mentality also. Winning a European trophy is no joke.
From the BBC
Spurs’ failure to sign another striker or an experienced midfielder signals a deplorable lack of ambition that could stifle the development of a young squad full of potential and leaves us vulnerable to competitors. The right men in these two positions could make a significant difference but chairman Daniel Levy, the so-called shrewd negotiator, catastrophically misjudged a market flush with TV cash. Teams no longer have to cave in because they just don’t need the money. Another window, yet another missed opportunity. Today’s desperate Berahino or bust shambles obscures concerns that Spurs’ overhaul of scouting and recruitment failed to find alternatives. The club site’s pathetic attempt to solve the problem by reclassifying Heung-Min Son as a striker did not play well with frustrated and furious fans. Now let’s get behind the team. COYS
Sincerely

as opposed to getting excited by a 3 minute match highlight of pritchard playing lower level opposition in the football league show you mean....The only bright spot from this TW is that we might get to see some more of our academy graduates like Pritchard and Onomah and quite frankly after the 2013 "Beatles" disaster I'm more excited by that than some fancy sounding Carlos Kickaball that SC gets excited about on the back of a 3 minute YouTube highlights reel.
Not wanting to be all negative but as others have pointed out the problem for us is likely to come from the strengthening done by the clubs in the pack below us like Swansea. I think above us only Citeh have really strengthened. The goons are even more furious than us, Chelski are proving even more clueless with their deadline day randomers and while Manure have spent big while LvG is in charge it is pretty irrelevant what they spend as he is a psycho. Liverpool have managed to spend big and badly again and Brendan will be fired before Xmas.Baseline - we finished 5th last year
GK - same as last year (top keeper in Hugo, solid back up MV)
Defensive group - as discussed, significant improvement both to starting group (Toby) and back ups - Trippier, Wimmer, Fazio, Dier, Davies are a good back up core.
Midfield - same pair as last year Nabil and Mason - added players who should contribute - Alli, Dier (internal promotion and looking good), Toby
Wide forwards/ attacking mids - big upgrade: Pritch, Son, Clinton, a rejuvenated Dembele even
Striker - lost soldado (a body) and gained Clinton and Son playing through the middle. Can't do worse than soldier.
So as a group we have cut deadwood, improved defense, wide forwards, attacking mid, defensive mid...par when it comes to strikers.
Feeling good - time for Poch to do some coaching!
No, not really. I think that there is, maybe, a trend on this forum that one must be positive at all times. But I think this place is getting too reliant on that happy clapper approach. Hell, I've only been here a few years and don't post a huge amount, so maybe that affords me a bit of objectivity. I've always tried to stay within your ITK thread rules and site rules as a whole. But now that the window is closed I feel that it would be wrong not to pretend that we're not seeing tedious repetition and a repeat of lessons that should've already been learned.Yeah, hiding behind the good financials, the training ground, the stadium deal, the early transfers, the selling of the deadwood at a loss.
BUT NO BACKUP STRIKER!!
I'm teasing, but you get my point right?
