Tbh I don't get why anyone is crying about Adebayor and his actions?
He is looking after his own, as annoying as it is we gave him the contract.
At the end of the day not every player treats football as some passion or hobby... To some as hard to believe as it is, it's simply a job.
If we aren't willing to subsidize his wages whilst he is on loan, why expect him to take a sizable pay cut to play for a mid table side like West Ham?
He can easily wait a year and still pick up a big fuck off contract from the Middle East or somewhere.
Sure it'd be nice to get him off the bill but I don't get the surprise at his decision...
You're basically expecting someone to take a pay cut to actually do some work?
How many would do that in real life?
It's like we demand a little bit that footballers are emotionally one dimensional so we don't have to be. Pride! Passion! But would i give up 20k a week? it'd be more than I've seen in my life by Halloween. No. Like Winston Bogarde said "Why should I throw fifteen million Euro away when it is already mine? At the moment I signed it was in fact my money, my contract." The accounts are that Ade's generous - I've seen villages in west Africa where all the infrastructure might not cost much over 20k - clinic, school, well. Maybe he feels he has to earn for Togo!
It's ok when Levy does it.
