Played our best football with Eriksen-Dembele-Lamela behind Kane. Played shit football ever since Dembele and Lamela were dropped. Can anyone solve the puzzle.

I'd like to see Mason out for Lamela, drop Paulinho back, shift Eriksen central, Chadli left and place Lamela on the RW.

If Poch is not going to have the team giving a damn about the league then at least play some youth players to make it worthwhile for the fans.

This is just disgusting. I'm no optimist but it is hardly as if the top 4 is totally out of reach with 8 games left to play.

I'm wondering whether the likes of Paulinho have started because of lack of international duty. Chadli, Mason and Paulinho haven't worked very well, and Kane has been isolated. I would take off Mason or Bentaleb, replacing with Stambouli. Maybe, get either Townsend or Lamela to get pace. I wonder if MP's plan was to let Burnley wear themselves out.

Several of us predicted this would happen if Poch got his selection up top wrong. You can't play a lethargic team against the likes of Burnley, as they press high up the pitch themselves once they get the belief. You have to pin them back from the get-go and take their belief from them. Poch's selections basically allowed Burnley to dictate that half because no one besides Kane is pressing up top.

Also, our CM2 has again been very poor. These two really need to sit a few games, as it's clear to me the fatigue of the season is impacting their energy level and general play.

Awful, so slow and no pace to stretch them. I'd bring Dembele and Lamela on, probably for Paul and Chadli, Chadli does get goals but offers nothing in general play.

I think Poch tried to set up to match Burnley's work rate but they have bossed midfield.
if we have to setup to stop burnley it highlights how far we fallen.

Jamie Carragher's assessment of our first half is pretty damning and to be fair pretty accurate

Not as bad as many are making out but certainly not good. Just pretty "meh".

We leave Kane so isolated which is the biggest difference between the two teams. I hope this is addressed in the summer as a priority. Chadli doing nothing. Eriksen trying at least.

Need Dembele on for Bentaleb and Townsend on for Chadli IMO.

You must be watching this on the radio.....

Kane;
Eriksen, Pritchard, Lamela;

That's the front 4 we should've been playing since January.

Agree with Carragher here, we need a direct threat and someone to run them about a bit. Something I hope we address in the summer.

Edit: There are some games against disciplined teams where you cant just go 'pass, pass, pass a bit more'.

We have been saying this on here for 5 weeks now, and nothing has changed. 1 out of the last 10 games started for Lamela/Dembele. It's completely shook my faith in Poch that he himself can't see that these two players fit his high press philosophy better than the others he keep picking.

Stambouli was in the rotation then too.

That's the pathetic part. It makes it clear that Poch doesn't have any clue what he is doing...1) because he can't figure this out and play the best team...2) because our success on him is based on players and not a system.

When a couple players are out then we look awful. It's because there is no system or gameplan in place, just players playing.

He'd be out of a job had Kane not emerged. I've said this for months now and it's shown to be more and more true every game.
