I've seen it many times before, "I don't know" means basically, I am waiting for an offer from another club, Lloris is playing us and I don't blame him, CL football and mega wages at PSG or Monaco is surely a no brainer for somebody who's French and even though living in London is nice, the french love the Parisian bread.
For starters he's from nice & thus will never play for Monaco.

He himself said as much last June

"There are some things that are difficult to refuse, but only if it allows you to go one step further," he added.

"And then there is another thing - I am too much of a Nice man to go there!"

To be fair, it was eight, and his conversion rate last season was substantially better than Paulinho's.

Damn! Done it again!
Yet Paulinho scored more on one season than Sig has in two. Conversion rate can always be improved, Sig doesn't get himself into the positions Paulinho does because he's not as good...

Well if there's truth in the suggestion that Poch wants Davies then he already has a feeling about the need for a LB so having time to assess Rose looks more a cosmetic exercise than anything else.
Of course if he feels he can work with Rose then he may speak with him and suggest he can compete for a starting place, however if that's the case I'm not sure Rose would want to stick around anyway

Bloody hell, there was I trying to work out whether I should buy a flat or a house next. Conflicting ITK on the subject from our many sources has left me all dazed and confused again. Be patient Hoops, only time will tell I guess.

Wow, reading JJ's last ITK, suggesting we might not replace Danny Rose, ruined my day. I mean, just the mere possibility he'll be in our jersey next season is too much for me. The guy is not good enough. Seriously.

So here's to hoping Ben Davies arrives at our club sooner rather than later.

Six is more than eight? Are you sure? You're also omitting the rather salient fact that last season Paulinho played almost as many minutes as Sigurdsson has in two, aren't you? Should we leave aside the point that Paulinho's only created 20 scoring chances against Sigurdsson's 36?

And everyone's pretty much agreed that Sigurdsson isn't really up to the required standard, aren't they?

A whole lot more than conversion rate needs to improve next season.

All JJ is saying is that players won't sign for approx 4 weeks. The deals can be agreed and in Ben Davies' case it is all agreed. Swansea thought it would have been concluded by now but obviously it's not the case.

The danger with this approach of waiting is that deals could get gazumped, and even if they are concluded it would give the player roughly two weeks before the season starts. Hardly the best preparation for a new season. How many times have we left it late in the past?? Same old story...

TBF if Poch came in and players were coming in and going out left, right and centre then the current squad players would feel a little uneasy in my opinion about him. Imagine a new boss coming into your work and already having made his mind up about you and your other staff members.

At least if he waits a few weeks then it gives off the impression that he is evaluating the likes of Dawson etc before shipping them out

Liverpool's turnover is £60m more than ours, their wage bill is nearly £40m higher (but roughly the same percentage of turnover) and they're happy to run at a £50m pre-tax loss with a £100m+ debt. Go figure.

I guess they dont give a fuck about FFP and occuring any debts FFP will do nothing to deter serious spending if clubs want to do so.
Ive said before that uefa will never throw the big clubs out of champions League the likes of madrid, Barca all have debts but are they worried No cos FFP has not been set up to stop those clubs but to keep clubs like others thinking they have hope in reality there is none.

So, on the assumption that we wont sign anybody for 4 weeks, that means they'll miss our entire tour of the US?

That don't sit right with me, man.

With the keeper heroics in the WC from Tim Howard to the Costa Rican guy, Julio Cesar, Tim Krull ... Courtois (sp?) ... There are plenty decent GK targets far cheaper & easier than Hugo for any of the big boys

Thankyou, sir! I didn't feel up to delving into Siggy defence this morning but I'm glad someone did!

I hope Poch watches some footage from last season. It's one thing training well but if the performances on the pitch don't stack up things need sorting. Prime candidate is Danny Rose who probably trains well but needs replacing. I think the assessment thing is as much to do with attitude as anything.

plus he's from Nice where everyone lives in flats. No houses until your a couple of miles from the centre up in the hills.
He's from a very wealthy upper class family though, I doubt he lived in down town Nice growing up

If we're not going to buy anyone until a few days before the new season starts, the manager must be pretty confident that he doesn't actually need to buy anyone at all. Otherwise it would be recklessly risky to leave it so late, and that is not likely is it?

So, the new manager's confidence in the squad is either very reassuring or very disturbing, depending on your opinion of the current squad/the new manager/your sanity.

IT'S EITHER BLACK OR WHITE!!! NO OTHER OPTIONS!!!
