I have to disagree. Your point is valid if we are aiming to be a good mid table side but if we are going for the title...and I do believe that is the aim...then we need a whole squad of top players

Once we confirm deals for Lamela, Eriksen and Chirches. We only need two players: a young striker and a world class LB. The rest is all about moving on the dead wood (Adebayor, Gomes, Assou Ekotto and Siggy (and maybe Lennon) :( ).

If we really want to be clever the young striker could also be a player who can play on the wing.

We've kinda got a squad of top players already yet the queue of new players is still stacking up. 3 tomorrow possibly more. Where does it end?

Medals round necks, that's where :)

Probably more to do with the players bought and the money spent...so far.
It could allude to more exciting things on the way.
Danny Boy must have been on the Babycham!

Still a good player and helped Bernard develop alot. Would be a better option than Kaka but either should only be an option on loan.

Well, 39 attemps on goal with 10 on target suggest to me that our creativity aint too shabby considering 4 new players are still bedding in, but hey, thats my opinion.

Nethertheless, it still makes me feel a little uneasy going for the full squad overhaul in one TW.
Lamela and Contrao should be sufficient to complete the squad IMO.

Eriksson, Chiriches and whoever else just feels a little OTT to me.

Only just back from the game. Haven't got time to read back through the thread. So can someone kindly tell me whether or not there were sightings (and pictorial evidence) of Lamela / Chiriches / Eriksen / Messi at the Lane tonight?

Nope those four weren't spotted. You did however miss Clark Carlisle struggling to spot an obvious penalty even with 3 replays, was quite some effort

sadly they all signed for chelsea (Messi went to Anzi though)
