If we start to win things, you can be sure that we'll also attract a bunch of fairweather fans who are very unlike us.

i do agree. but it has to start somewhere.

i know a lot of chelsea fans starting to notice them with zola was there, and subsequently were bowled over by mourinho's team featuring robben duff lampa drog, and still supporting them now.

and i am sure our support was triggered by hodd, villa, ardiles, a&c, 80's european and fa cups winning team, gazza, linker, klinsmann, ginola, king, berbatov, keane etc etc

however, no matter what they say, chelsea is not like us at all... they do not have a distinct philosophy and history (audere est facere, playing the beautiful game, tradition history culture, and the enviable list of sublime footballers every few years) so we should not fear the glory hunters. we should "educate" them. ;)

back to ITK - if we sign either of lamela or willian and keep bale, both of whom i know nuts about but all you seem to rate highly - what are the odds of us winning the fa cup and europa league and finishing top 3? is there somewhere i can wager for this parlay?

One things for sure, if we really do pull of the window of a lifetime (Lamela/Willian & Bale staying, with a quality LB) we will really shock the football world this season.

We have been completely dismissed by pretty much every (so called) expert around for the top 4 next season. I would absolutely love it if we made them all look like mugs.

Sadly being a long-term Spurs fan I'm used to pride getting at its highest before the fall. Lets hope this is the time we finally cross the threshold...

Yup, that's the shitty side of dominating the game. Crazy world.

DL didn't have the faith over the last two seasons; this year he's acting like the fucking pope of transfers - I bet he's even blessing the new signings.

Like I've said before: as soon as we bought Soldado it was clear the heavenly gates had opened and DL(JL) had seen the light and we we're about to build a beast.

A new Era is likely to be upon us.

Does seem like all of the pieces are in place for this to happen. I really hope it does.

Soldado was a turning point I agree.

I don't think I can get ahead of myself until the window closes but the last couple of days have certainly got me excited.

So the new season is yet to begin but we have not only dominated the footballing world, but we have become annoyed and embarrased by our hypothetical new fan base!! The madness of a spurs fan knows no bounds

Just watching Frazier Campbell on SSN whilst reading about us in negotiations to sign Erik Lamela and with a goal scoring debut for Soldado fresh in the mind.

It's amazing how far we've come...

Express and Mirror booth supporting the ITK of Lewis money and Levy attempting to convince Bale to stay with signings and title tilt.
Czech out the Bale thread.

Don't get this bid, won't complain as he's a good player just don't see how Holtby, Siggy and Eriksen would get the sufficient game time they would desire.

Cups/Euro/rotation. Will all be fine.

How do we expect to survive when we fret when we have nowt and fret when we are abundant??? Jesus fook.

On a serious note.

Having Lamela AND Bale staying seems ridiculous. I want it to be true very badly, but will need to see it to believe come 3rd September. Fingers crossed, but not holding breath.
