Just throwing some possible names in the hat re the Journalist post. "lesser known" Brazillians Carlos More(sp) and Bruma both young but highly rated MFs and Joao Mario, Wellington Nem and Casemio all exciting young Sporting Lisbon players and all had some first team experience and we were/had been linked with Nem and Mario a couple of years ago.

And those of you angry with Leandro, please remember a lot of South Americans say what their agents and owners want them to say and don't forget Agent Sandro has been at work during his enforced leave.

There were a couple of Brazilians we was linked with through AVB last summer I recall. One was a winger called 'Wellington' one was another 'oscar' but not the same one, both looked rather tasty from there you tube (yeh I know) clips, there was another that I don't recall the name but was a midfielder also. Maybe it's these guys resurfacing.

Agree with the costa talk too, I recall when we was looking at willian we enquired as to costa availability too according to quotes from shaktar

Are there not work permit issues with signing players from Brazil?

As far as I was aware, the player has to show "exceptional ability" to allow him an immediate work permit. Usually, this will be if he has already played for Brazil's national team, but there are exceptions.

We won't be able to sign an 18 year old nobody with huge potential. The "lesser known" will still have to be a top player in Brazil - Bernard fits this bill quite well.

You are right this is Nem sorry I typed William because my dog is called William and I just shouted at him LOL Corrected now

I'm pretty sure that, earlier this week, somebody said the permit thing is being scrapped?

Also I believe clubs in Brazil are not allowed to release their youngsters until they turn 17-18 or something. So even if we agree to sign a 15 year old, we wouldnt get him until he's 17-18

He is our backup option but we have a agreement with the club we can talk to him now if we want.

Backup option to another young prospect that would be 3rd choice (like a Cornelius or Rebic)?

What about Fernando Lucas?

And as I said before Sunderland is looking at: Livermore, Townsend, Parker, Dawson, Rose...Whether they succeed on not is not up to me :) - just passing on ( I emailed some mods last week). I see the Journalist has said some of these have had enquiries.
We await the new manager of Everton FC.
That Wigan midfielder is also an interesting lad.

I'm fairly confident the Brazilian is Bernard. But that doesn't mean I'm confident we'll get him!

(Just realised that sounds like I'm giving ITK - not at all, it's just my opinion!)
