Well he was one of the first, if not the very first to call Lloris. And well we all know where he is right now.

Dempsey can play wide, which is where we could do with options. Proven PL player, will score goals. May have to go for a cheaper option in order to fund Moutinho and Lloris and maybe a striker
Can also play up front but not the quickest. Maybe just lined up in the event of everything else going to pot.

As Fulham have apparently failed to sign Michel Bastos on loan from Lyon. and we have shipped out Rose....could we be in for him?
RMC are reporting that Marseille are close to striking a deal with the Blues for Loic Remy. The French radio station are reporting that Chelsea will meet Marseille's £15.8m asking price.
So no Remy then.

Dempsey must be the "striker" that JJ was referring to. He asked what the definition of striker was a couple of times.

Dempsey isn't a back up plan to Moutinho, because they are totally different players. He may mean AVB doesn't fancy Siggy quite so much after looking at him in training.

Lloris will go through, if he's got as far as medical and personal terms, a fee will be sorted.
Moutinho, likewise, we must have got some kind of idea on his terms before getting as far as agreeing a fee that big.
Now to the ITK
RyanTegan suggested a fee was done with Llorente, been very quiet since. Can't see Liverpool competing if they didn't have the cash for Dempsey, Carroll was only a loan, and Adam wouldn't have raised much cash, and Juve have signed Bendtner. Arsenal been very quiet after RVP, Chelsea only have Torres and Sturridge, these two I think may compete for him.
Journalist suggests Willian is still being worked on. Very possible, but I'd rather have Llorente if it's one or the other, both would be better.
We also had a suggestion that two RM players may be on their way, one fringe player, one youngster. Could these be back up options if others fail?? We have been loking for winger cover, and also now only have one natural LB, maybe these are the RM boys...
Exciting night ahead.

That would be Moutinho...and its not a case of just like for like replacements, its about AVB getting in the type of players he wants to mould his style/system etc...
