Don't see what the problem with that is personally. I mean he isn't aiming those remarks at someone present, or saying the person can't do a job. Just looks like lads banter to me. If Keys gets sacked because of that it is ridiculous. I doubt there is one guy on this board who hasn't made similar remarks at some point in their lives.

lets take a breather for a minute, and laugh at Richard Keys, a trueLAD.

lol Very funny hearing keys say that.

Let's not forget, women can be as just as filthy as men - though better at hiding it - and have more than their fair share of lewd conversatons/banter (heard them many times myself), so please, no PC ratshit over this clip.

I can smell a stinking gust of PC wind about to blow through the media with a new wave of arseholes popping up all over the place who have decided they can tell us what we can and can't think and say.

I'll just say 'fuck off!' before it all starts.

Thanks.

Morning all.... Another crazy day ahead. Adiepf gonna be in Manchester so we're not due any info till around 10pm I see, that should put the brakes on today's madness. Unless POTL decides to post the title of another sporadically known country song.

This was POTL the other day:

who Phantom of the Lane
date 24/01/11
site COYS

We're not done yet.

When have we ever been done before the last second of the window?

Non cryptic- We need a couple of things to happen before something happens if ya get ma drift

That bit at the end is what made me think of Benzema earlier as soon as the Adebayor thing was done.

But the bit at the end is labelled as 'non-cryptic'. Now I don't know what to believe.

Agreed, but lets hope Louise doesn't see it.

Everyone one was in great form yesterday - one of DP's comments had me crying with laughter.

There seems to be a few extreme views flying around here.

He's had a rather poor time at Madrid, no doubt exacerbated by his own self inflicted personal issues, but he does have all the ingredients in terms of physique and technique, it's just a case of putting them together on a regualr basis. One need look no further than Mario Gomez for evidence that flopping initially after a big money move is not reason to fully write off a young forward, Gomez is now looking like the best centre forward in Europe.

I will say that I agree with the notion that Benzema isn't the greatest 'back to goal' player, but he can't really be any worse than our current crop at this skill and it's not really what we need anyway. We need somebody who can use his physical and technical gifts to his advantage to be able to actually offer a goal threat for the mass amount of chances we create (most balls put into the box in the league, fact!) and, with some confidence and perhaps the luck of one going in off his arse, Benzema may well be that. He is faster, stronger and more mobile than both Pavlyuchenko and Crouch, and he is twice the size of Defoe with probably superior technique and at worst, similar striking ability.

Let us not forget, Mourinho also did not want one Rafael Van der Vaart.

I've been repeatedly bigging up Benzema for a long time in this forum, and from what I've seen of him in the past he seems/(ed) ideal. In terms of natural talent by the complete striker characteristics he's beyond sight of all our current striker, the great JD included. However, having watched him a couple of times this season, were he's been given a long run in the team without really delivering, I'd say he's a bit more of a gamble than I first thought.

So more than in the ultimate super striker mould of some of the players we've been linked to, Forlan, Fabiano (old, yes, but at their best top top notch) and long shots such as Torres and Eto'o, I'd say he's a bit of a gamble in the Suarez mould. Nonetheless, given time, good man-management and confidence he will shine, and I think EPL will suit him. I should also be said, that we player better football than Real, they're more about giving the ball to Ronaldo and see what he does with it

As for the ITK, he's been giving us credible freeflowing stuff all window so I sincerely believe. If he's at the club and all I reckon they've practically agreed (dont know how it works, but I'd assume it's the very very last step of a long process).

Benzema has a very high opinion of himself. Can't see him being attracted by us,would be absolutely insane if we could pull it off though.Even if it's just a loan deal.

Can't wait to see A&C's round-up of this thread.

Been lurking in this forum for too many transfer windows now but last night was the first time I ever took my iPhone to bed with me.

Remember that we got VdV, Modric and Bale here today, and that kind of players will help us attract bigger names than we are used to. I can see that Benzema fits in.

If that was the case why would he even contemplate flying to England to see our officials?
