Remember that we got VdV, Modric and Bale here today, and that kind of players will help us attract bigger names than we are used to. I can see that Benzema fits in.

I agree with this, I've been saying it since the first half of the Werder Bremen away game... who wouldn't want to play as a striker in front of the midfield that we have?! Any striker worth his salt would bag himself goals galore! Players like Benzema will have watched our Champions League campaign, no doubt about that, and will have been impressed.

Of course these things would depend on aspects beyond our control. Who else is interested in him? If there's any chance of a Man Utd, Inter Milan, etc, then that narrows our chances, but we'd be in with a shout, all things considered.

Thats why I reckon Benz is a tall-tale. It'll be someone else imvho.
