This entire board is a smokescreen for people not doing better things. We should give the world a break

I know we are going off topic here, none of this is ITK discussion, but I have to comment.

Anyone who would choose Robinson over Gomes needs a good boot in the testicles. Maybe some of you cant remember how poor Robinson was in his final year or 18 months.
I'd rather we signed Rasiak and Campbell as our strikers again than resign Robbo.

Firstly, it's not off topic, we have had Robinson ITK.

Secondly, you are very right. I'd go further, I'd sooner sign Campbell back to play in goal than Robinson.

He was a useless fat w*****, who cost us on average about a goal a game. About the same as what Gomes saves us.

Not sure this is worth putting in the ITK forum but a quote from POTL regarding rumours of gentlemans agreements with Real Madrid

No agreements whatsoever.

However, good feeling between clubs

Liverpool are offering peanuts and trying to get Ajax to drop their price. They know Suarez wants to join Liverpool.

Beleive me if we were interested and were bidding as most have said liverpool wouldnt not be jeopardising the deal like this.

Once a player feels a club wants him and have shown the most interest then 9 times out of 10 they join them.

Suarez will join Liverpool IMO. I think all the ionfo being given out on suarez regarding spurs is a complete smokescreen.

I hope not as i think he is a tevez in the making. Most ajax fans agree his best role is as a number 9 holding up the ball and playing alone. He is just forced to play wider to suit the system.

Typical spurs but i just hope we dont do it all too late. But it seems we want to cover transfers with money brought in without needing to dig into the coffers.

I agree. If we want him we've got a very funny way of showing it. I wouldn't say it was a smokescreen, just that we've gone in half arsed. I doubt we're going to pull any other signings out of the blue.

If we really meant business we'd have been negotiating for a striker all through the season so he signed on January 1st, then maybe we wouldn't have dropped 7 points from our last 3 games. Well, saying that, we would've signed a striker in the summer if we REALLY meant business.

Probably Mourinho angling for Harry's job next season.

Perhaps it is all just a... "smokescreen"... and Daniel Levy is only playing games with Liverpool wanting to sign Suarez and will turn to Liverpool and say we'll back down from pursuing Suarez if you sell us Torres for a not too ridiculous sum of money...

SSN: Babel agreed deal to move to Hoffenheim.

That's the Babel that King Kenny said was definitely not moving in January.

Rather suggests that they will use that money to increase their offer for Suarez.

I'm inclined to believe dazherring's assertion that Suarez will end up there.

If Liverpool are still only offering 12.5 million by the time of their deadline, I can see us just coming in and beating that and in all likelyhood, having it accepted if reports are true about Ajax being pissed over Liverpool. This assuming our bid is suitable.

Whilest Suarez wants out, we don't know he just wants out or has his eye on a certain club.

To be fair, 12.5 million is taking the piss a tad, the same as their Charlie Adam bid. He's worth much more to them than 4 million, the same as Suarez for Ajax.

Chelsea are 3 up at Bolton ... were going to have to score a hell of a lot of goals in our remaining games to snatch 4th from them. We'll 2 not 1 quality strikers.

Sorry mate but i did say its my opinion, smokescreens are the new blacked out windows

:hump: I love the idea of a smokescreen. Agent Levy the master of misdirection. Imagine signing Aguero or someone like that on deadline day!

The sensible people in here generally put us dreamers in our places though!

Mate as i said its not my opinion. Liverpool are convinced the player wants the move to them and all thats left to do is iron out the deal.

Why do you think Babel didnt complete his move earlier???Liverpool chanced their arm at 13mill.

If they got him then jackpot. They didnt. They now complete the babel sale and raise a further 7 mill and low and behold you hit the magical 20 mill mark which is the figure they need for the transfer.

I will be albe to find out more info tomorrow but i would even think we could see him join them as early as tomorrow.

IF Liverpool are only offering £12.5 mill, I'd say there are quite a few clubs who would feel he's worth taking a punt on for 13 or 14 mill

Looks like Comolli did learn a few things under Levy then - buy low, sell high dear boy.

By the way. The delusional fantasies on here just keep getting stoked. Nobody in the media has mentioned us in conjunction with Suarez for the best part of a week. It is quite clear that we aren't interested, either becuase Harry doesn't think he is right for us, or that the price is not right, or a combination of the two.

Suarez in a non-issue for us. We all know it. We may not want to believe it. But I doubt we did more than ask the price, wish them a good day and start looking elsewhere.
