and if we sell bentley, maybe the beckham deal is just to tie us over till the end of the season when we can seriously look for someone better for RM?

Like Lennon?

God I really want Keane out the door, I love the guy for all he has done for the club and i'll consider him one of our great players in his day, but he really needs to move on. I think Fulham would be a great move for him. They really need goals as we saw in our game against them, and I think he would strike up a good partnership with Zomora when he returns. If he wants to stay in London then its got to be Fulham over West Ham.

I just really want us to move for a striker. I'm delighted to hear another ITK linking us to Suarez. He's the best possible acquisition up front in this window. He's the right age and he'll be joining other players who are still young and improving. I think he would fit right in here. Plus he's not on huge wages. Not to mention his valuation has come down to a more respectful one. It just makes sense.

Not too sure on the Stadium news. I think i'll wait for the outcome before going into that.

Agreed - Fulham would be a great move for Robbie.

Plus Duff is there. Fulham seems a great fit.

I'm sure that's why we're trying to get Pienaar in for. Quick a good dribbler and with the ability to cover RM/AM/LM, perfect.

I don't believe you can put a price on alienating half our fanbase. NLD would be rocking every week, OS would be half-full of bankers . . .

Dragon's English remains pretty rudimentary, doesn't it?

So Levy likes Suarez? Has he turned scout?

I don't see how bulldozing the OS and building the WHL plan there will be cheaper than bulldozing the area around the existing ground, which has mostly been done. Hopefully Lord Coe's view will prevail anyway.

Its obvious Levy would be looking at this from a re-sell value. He's young enough to retain decent value. I'm sure the scouts have done their job.

I'm in favour of staying at near WHL but not if it kills the club. We just dont know what figures are being calculated with regard to any option so its always gonna be difficult for us to see logic in these decisions at this stage.

we wont, it will be much less than half.
I dont want us to move, but if all the stories are true about the price difference then there isn't much of an option.

If moving to Stratford (shudder) saves us the best part of £200million then I can just about accept that. Especially if it means the difference goes towards the transfer budget.

And I'm all for getting Suarez in. Just please don't leave it until 11:55 Jan 31st for it to happen though.

dont you mean 12:05 Feb 1st? :shifty:

Rax please stop spamming, I'm pretty sure that's the second time today I've deleted posts by you.

Is it? First I've heard of it. I've made a couple of comic wisecracks, I don't see what your drama is.

We have a read only section now.

No one needs to trawl through this whole thread in order to know what ITK has come in today. That was the whole freaking point of this system. So what's the problem?

Perhaps you just need to lighten up.

You've twice posted "info" out of your boredom. This isn't a chat thread.

Also people still like to be able read what people have said about the ITK, not pages of rubbish. I've been a lot more chilled out than previous windows.

Well, yes, but as I replied to B-C, this kind of info just adds to the 'Levy signing' nonsense.

Cheapest option as far as the ground is concerned is just to stay put and wham up the prices. No-one seems to complain (at least, not enough to walk away), so why not carry on?

There's been sod all to discuss today, and both of them were quite obviously jokes, not Wummery.

They were amusing enough for a slight smile too, though I do say so myself.

You don't get a chocolate button for being more "chilled out than previous windows", the system isn't the same. It was changed so that people could have a more relaxed chat (yes, 'chat') about ITK and transfer related stuff without being constantly being berated by the RRs. There have been wisecracks and jokes in the Daily thread ever since the system was changed - running jokes about Bayern for Ozil fr'instance. Lighten up FFS.

Wow is Dragons info really classed as ITK?
im not 'slating it' im just saying, i could look at SC and make a summery of whats been said and pass it off as ITK.

Anyway, i'd be happy with Stratford & Suarez

Aww, I'm sorry I didn't laugh at your jokes Rax, no need to go so uppity. Try harder next time.

Given that you've provided ample evidence that you've had a sense of humor amputation, I'm not in the least surprised. And given your substance-free response, I'll just take that as you conceding my point.

really can't see us "bulldozing" the Olympic stadium...

The Olympic stadium site may be our preferred option , but can you really see them handing it over to us to just tear down . West ham will get it because if their plans to keep the running track. Can't see them accepting our crystal palace idea.
