Potential SC game that we could play. Everyone starts with a pretend £200, and you can bet on anyone and anything.
Every time you make a bet, you have to list your bet number, who you're betting on, bet type, odds, bet stake, and the bookmaker (with whom you found the odds), how much you stand to win, and how much you're left with. An example of a first bet could look like this:
Bet No: 1
Bet: Everton v TOTTENHAM, Arsenal v STOKE
Type: Double
Odds: 16/1
Stake: £60.00
Bookmaker: William Hill
Returns (inc stake): £1020.00
Balance: £140.00
Everyone will self referee their own bets and balance, and if you win, quote your own post and highlight your bet in red text so people know why your balance is climbing
The idea is that the first to £10,000 wins. Anyone who goes broke is out. Should no one have won by 12.00am on 27th December, the gambler with the highest balance wins.
Remember, it's completely fictional, and no bets actually have to be placed.
Can people give A) and idea of whether they're interested, and B) if they can think of something to improve the game.
One possibility is to have a subforum created, and everyone has their own thread. Of course, if only 3 people take parts, that's kind of overkill
