Back to mid table mediocrity
Well, firstly I was of that exact thinking in the past and believed that people were wrong to suggest that.
But that was because you could see a core stability and players who had further to improve. It was clear we were going to get better and there was no guarantees for the others as they were generally rebuilding/in transition.
Now, we are falling under that category because we have some players who are apathetic (Kane) with the whole situation, we have players who need shifting on and we need to establish a new core. It takes time to build that core. Just look at our midfield!! It has no substance to it!
How can you expect to improve over the course of a summer? We may improve but it'll take time. But you look at the others and they have better energy and stability.
Agree with everything except your last sentence. I believe we'd very happily sell a high number of our players right now. But given their wages and low performance level finding buyers will be the challenge.Need a progressive DOF with a plan & vision
Need a clearout like Fun time Frankie oversaw
Need a top bloke like BMJ to heal some wounds and gel everything together again
Unfortunately I cannot see this happening. Too many ‘assets' on the books that Levy will want far too much money for!
I’m actually pretty worried, this will probably get worse before it gets better
Few teams below us will improve, bottom half next year wouldnt be a shock
Best chance for a trophyChampionship.
It’s funny because its probably true. We’re fucked??Best chance for a trophy
Best chance for a trophy
Doubt it move likely to be in the corporate fine dining with his friendsBe nice to think DL is still at the ground in absolute crisis talks right now, wouldn't it?
Winning trophies and playing the Tottenham way is our raison d’etre. As soon as we stop bleeting on about trophies and worry more about having a team that plays a particular way, full of blood and commitment, we might get somewhere.
It's the Trophy 'expectation' that killing our progress.
