Will FFP finally put spurs where they belong?

Seeing so many tweets about Levy blowing £70m here and there on other clubs’ star players as they struggle to meet FFP regulations. Do these tweeters know nothing? Do they honestly think Levy would spend that much when he can drive the price down and down before walking away with no deal leaving the selling club up shit creek?
Totally agree. It will interesting to see how the transfer landscape changes during the summer window.. I suspect plenty of gamesmanship, which we're in a good place to exploit.

It's funny that we're hated on yet we have done things the right way and we have British ownership. If we win a title are people really going to appreciate us or moan about something else? Spurs are the team people love to hate. I think it just goes back so far they can't get out the mindset of hating Spurs. It's like kids are growing up to "fucking hate Spurs" without knowing why.
I do think that mindset is changing though, I live in Beds and at our local school when they have a dress down day or football training it’s a 40/40 split between us and Luton as to what kits the kids are wearing.
You get the odd inter Miami, Liverpool, Man U and bigger European teams but here it’s all about us and Luton.
Onwards and upwards I say as I don’t remember seeing too many Man U shirts being worn in Watford back in the 80’s!
One final point though regarding ticketing, I was speaking to a relative today who can get corporate tickets, he was saying last season you could pick them up on the day but now you are having to book three months in advance and if you’re lucky you might get the game you want.
He’s not spurs but as he said it’s amazing to see what having a decent performing team on the pitch does for demand.

Some clubs are going to have to tread carefully this summer. There are a few of them on the edge with ffp. Villa being one of them. City are just a joke with that commercial income. Just sponsoring themselves

He’s buying 25% . The Glazers have 75%. They have the whip hand. If he wants to spend a certain amount of money and they don’t agree, it ain’t happening.
Looks like they will get Dan Ashworth from Newcastle. He knows what he’s doing.
He’s not going there to play second fiddle to the yanks.

He doesn't really get a choice. He has control of "football decisions", the glazers still control all commercial operations. And Jim only cares about 3 things: sports washing Ineos, lining his pockets, and inflating his ego.

You think he’s going to play second fiddle to a couple of daddy’s boys. Think of what you like about him but he’s a business man who’s done it himself. We’ll see how his long term plan plays out but I bet it won’t involve the glazers as a major shareholder.

Go on I’ll bite how has he not made his own money
It's well documented that Ineos acquires failing assets at cut prices, then gets other people to pay for them, before running them into the ground. They take the profits and then don't pay tax by having HQ's in Switzerland and living in Monaco. Not to mention underpaying all the people running these pipelines and plants. Dude is Mr Burns.

It's been a running joke at Ineos that Jim keeps trying to buy football clubs. He desperately wanted Chelsea. But the reality is that he couldn't give a monkeys really and it's all just sports washing and willy waving.

Can someone with a better knowledge of this sort of thing than I please explain this? Is this good or bad for Spurs and does it get Chelsea out of their massive hole?

Well the rumour was that if Chelsea won the league cup last week, they’d have declined their European place as they wouldn’t meet the requirements of FFP. So if the PL is aligning with uefa I think that’s not a good thing for Chelsea.
