The fun of football has just gone for me. I dont care about our games. Not because we lose. They don't seem to care, so i dont either. I have been an Arsenal fan for 32 years, but i haven't cared this little. It feels like being the supporter of a bank, or financial institution.

not too long ago i felt like this about our club, so in a strange way i feel sorry for him. no fan should feel like that about their club.

I thought exactly the same thing reading that aprtocualr quote. Felt like there was a real disconnect with the club before Poch arrived, even in his early days perhaps. The fact he has rekindled the link between club and fans is and always will be (unless we win the double) his biggest achievement.

Of the other quotes from the sobbing gooners, this one made me lol:

'Can't wait for Jamie Carragher to pretend to be angry at Arsenal.

Guy is wanking into Ranieri's latte as we speak.'

I never get why people say this. So you felt like there was a real disconnect between you and the club because we weren't as good under the previous managers as we are under Poch? Did you support spurs any less?

I don't, not one little bit.
There are clubs up and down the country with disillusioned fans, clubs are literally being run into the ground and out of existence in some cases,
Those are the fans deserving sympathy, not these spoilt, entitled pricks because they've plummeted to the horrific depths of sixth in the Premier League.

This. Some of us on here still supported Tottenham through relegation. Sinking to the depths of 6th place and possibly the ignominy of not being in CL ..... what a self entitled Arse twat ... of the highest order.

New guy at work is a Liverpool fan and i'm just listening to him talk about how difficult it is to player the lower league team as you just can't break them down because they defend too much.

Just waiting to be dragged into the conversation and let him know i'm a spurs fan. especially as he's used burnley as an example.

If you want a clubs fan base to feel sorry for, I would start somewhere like Coventry.
I sit next to a Coventry fan who still brings up 1987 regularly and can somehow bring any football related discussion back round to that Cup Final! However, I still don't have the heart to wind him up about the current state of his team. They have had a shocking time recently.

Grand Old Team (Everton)

Spurs for the league next year if they keep this team together.

that's the type of player we need in the summer. Alli scored 20 last season and will do again this season, from midfield.

What are spurs players doing in training celebration wise, pair of clowns lol, this is fast becomming my most annoying celebration behind the sturridge dance

They look strong.... No weak links (well none when Kane replaces Janssen again).

Spurs are proper good, glad this is pretty much all over which means no need to bring Kane on, easy pickings here for a few goals for him but let him rest.

Young team, too. They're starting to consolidate themselves in the top 4, and they have that new stadium on the way.
The new team to watch.

Son is a quality player.

We are 17 points and a million miles off Spurs.
Demoralising.

I can't stand Spurs but have to say they have been incredibly unlucky to encounter just one other side in better form than them in each of the last two seasons.

Yes must be a good time to be a Spurs fan. Very decent squad with a fair number of English players. In 18 months they will be playing in the best stadium in the country. They just need to get that first trophy and they will be flying

Well, 2nd season on the trot they've been title contenders and one of the best sides in the country.
Easily replacing the RS in that top 4 club bracket

Our new ground will piss all over theirs.

It's not really to do with us being less good, for most my time supporting Spurs (circa 25 years) we have been pretty hopeless! The period i was referring to was probably towards the end of AVBs reign, certainly the Sherwood days, where the club just felt rudderless. The players didn't seem to care and the atmosphere at the lane was pretty poisonous. Did i support the club any less? No, probably not, Did i care less? Yes, probably. Were Spurs on my mind 24/7 like they are now? No. I think if you trawl back through the various threads from that time there would be a lot of people feeling the same.

Loved this one. They've been trying for 20 years to get their stadium started, still have no plans, just maybe they've found a shit site.

Obviously their new stadium, due any day now, will be way better.

Found this little corker on Arsenal Mania
I am looking at the spuds team. How did they manage to assemble such a formidable side? Where were we when it happened?

Trying to compare their team to ours. Not easy to be objective but something tells me they have been doing something right of late.

Goal Hugo vs Petre
Walker vs Bellerin tie
Rose vs Nacho tie
Alderweireld vs Kos: tie
Vertoghen vs Mustafi
Xhaka vs Wanyama : tie
Dembele vs Ramsey/Elneny/Chamberlain
Dele vs Özil :tie
Erickson vs Theo
Son vs Sanchez : gunners win
Kane vs Welbeck

Managers: jury is out

Class: Arsenal win by a wide margin
History: Arsenal win by a wide margin

Future: ???

They thump our squad in many different positions in my opinion. Like Ian Wright said though it may be painful to say it, I am jealous of some of their players.

Honestly, I can't quite figure out where to begin, first he stats that people are tied in positions, then going on to say that we thump them position for position... sounds confused!

I wonder if he still thinks Xhaka is a tie with Wanyama after last night?

Idiot gooner said: Class:Arsenal win by a wide margin

Because there's just so much class being shown by them right now...

If we cry like spoiled children because we could be a bit better than we are at the moment, make ourselves a laughing stock on youtube, and fight amongst ourselves during matches, then can we dare to hope that one day we might be as classy as they are?
