I could grab one of my cousins but that would require a trek up north to Cambridge.

I'd also rather wear an Arsenal top than sit in the home end at West Ham.

Unless of course @ShaunL84 is up for taking one of their ends 80s style?

You could always trampoline across to the away end like "The Great Escape", I'm sure one of our lot would catch you

Just as well for West Ham that the poor old taxpayer will be picking up the bill for all that police overtime.

If I think about it, I only dislike Friday night football because it's different. In reality though, it should be perfect because people can go straight from work to have a drink up, watch the footie, bar/club afterward, then they have the whole weekend to recover and spend time with their families all weekend if they want to. That's really not a bad alternative to Saturday afternoon and much more attractive (to me) than Sunday football.

However, a derby like this shouldn't really be a Friday night. The Met will get a lot more money for this because it's a Friday night so you're right, money does talk. Though it could cost the Met a lot more in overtime when it all goes wrong...

I lived in Oz for a couple of years and Friday/Sat night AFL and rugby games are standard. everyone heads out to watch the game live or at the pub etc...

Expect LPs to be late 200s if not in the 300s for Season Ticket Holders.

I think we're singing from the same songsheet here with just one teeny alteration. :)

As regards the Met policing bill, I know that many years ago police prices were fixed by rank and number of each rank required, is that still the same of can the Met put their own price in nowadays? I'm sort of reading your post as if that's the case.

Not exactly sure when it comes to costs but I was reading this yesterday, which gives a bit of an insight.

More concerned that for them it's their cup final and playing under the lights is going to suit them more than a drab sunday lunchtime KO

People take the piss but I think we never properly take this game seriously. We need to be 100% focussed. The players need to be pumped up for this one.
