Never predict anything other than a Spurs win in these sots of games but I'm not for this Sunday. Think we'll be a little leggy after last night and I think QPR will be up for this - in a big way.

I'm going for a 0-0. We might just get over the line with a 1-0 but I really do think there is a price to pay when you play Thursday night and then Sunday if you can't make many changes.

Still very encouraged by last night - which has made me very happy. This isn't about instant gratification with AVB, but over time I think we'll be excellent if we stick with him and the players learn and develop more in terms of what he's trying to do.

It seems like gratification is the new "triffic".

Regarding the game, I'm confident in the teams ability to win this game, especially with their defensive problems (both injuries and conceeding goals). It was good that we got a clean sheet yesterday, I was a bit annoyed with the goal conceded at Reading but was a lot happier at actually winning so let it slide but a PL clean sheet would do us good.

This was the game last season that Bale really came alive aswell and I'm hoping the same happens this weekend.

I hadn't realised the extent of their defensive problems so I'm more confident now.

But didn't it appear before the Newcastle game that they would be missing a huge number of players? And then the buggers had all recovered by the time the game rolled around. Mark me down as suspicious.:shifty:

ETA: This smilie --> :shifty: reminds me of Martin Jol. Hee!

Not sure they had all be ruled out categorically though...the ones rated as doubtful I always assume will be fit come the day.

Looking forward to this one. I think we'll see another good performance and a 2-0 win. I also predict that, no matter who starts, there will be post match debate about which keeper should start the next game.

Can't wait for the game, first game in about 4 or 5 years! We need a win, get our home form rolling and start to make ground in the league, even with a poor start we arnet that far behind.

Going to be fucked by the end of it, at work just now, travel into Edinburgh tonight to travel down overnight, watch the game, back up to Edinburgh overnight and then home!

I think we have a great chance to win tomorrow I think I will go for a 3-1 home win.
Not expecting surprises in the line up, so much the same as against Lazio on Thursday night, but this all depends on Naughton being fit.
Bale ----------- Defoe ---------- Lennon
Dembele ------ Dempsey/Sig
Sandro
Naughton - Vert - Caulker - Walker
Freidel
However, I would like to see one of the younger strikes be on the bench, if Ade is injured and Kane is out on loan, just incase Defoe gets scuppered.

Think AVB will go for this team - assuming Naughton and Adebayor are still out. It means we have a full bench but few alternative experienced players to fill it (sounds like a Harry moment coming up with 'down to the bare bones').
Friedel
Walker, Gallas, Caulker, Vertonghen
Sandro, Dembele
Lennon, Sigurdsson, Bale
Defoe
Subs: Lloris, Smith, Dawson, Huddlestone, Carroll/Mason, Townsend, Dempsey
Other Possible subs : Cudicini, Jenas...and after that anyone from Development squad

Injured: Gomes, Naughton, Assou-Ekotto, Kaboul, Livermore, Parker, Adebayor

Think Adebayar and Naughton are fitness tests. Reckon that we could do with Ade being fit as Defoe must be getting a bit tired.

Would like to see: Brad; Kyle, Caulker, Verts, Kyle; Sandro, Dembele, Sigs; Lennon, Ade, Bale.

Off to Park Lane lower for this. Really looking forward to it for 3 reasons:

1) London Derby
2) I don't have a clue what QPR's team will be, but I know Julio Cesar will be playing
3) QPR have injuries & only have 4 fit senior defenders, given they are not the most solid of outfits either, I expect a comfortable win.
