We could also do with the two teams from Liverpool doing us a favour..
The better team Everton could beat Southampton and the other lesser team might have a chance at beating or holding Arsenal to a draw. ;) We could find ourselves in fifth by the end of tomorrow, which would be pretty impressive given all the issues we've been working through as a team.

Hold on, so our record against Burnley is won 40, lost 40, drawn 24?? That's abysmal, or were Burnley some powerhouse in the early /mid 20th century??
Well yeah sort of, they won the league twice and were in the top flight for several decades. We've only played them 8 or 9 times since 1980.

Big couple of games coming up.
I think we're just starting to show a little form and a little more cohesiveness. If results go our way and we pick up a couple of wins against Leicester and Burnley, we're bang in CL contention and still in all competitions.
United and Chelsea, though... Hmmm. Could easily drop points there. The next two games are pretty vital. I'm hoping for another good display today. I'll take a win even if the performance isn't great. If we're getting results but not playing great, then that can only bode well, and does suggest the mentality is a bit stronger than it was at the beginning of the campaign.

I also think Poch has nearly a settled group that he likes and can rely on to some extent.
A brace for Kane today would be excellent. And a screamer from Eriksen would be lovely.
Maybe even a Soldado bonus.

This. They are one of the really old, traditional clubs (same age as Spurs) and were a major force until about 1930.

I have a desire to continue with Soldado despite a sever lack of productivity. Why do i not feel the same way about Lamela? Lots of fans seem to share this affection with Lamela but he musters no positive emotion from me, and i don't know why. Can someone tell me why? Honestly I have more support for Townsend or Lennon than I do Lamela. Strange.

For me there's not a lot to choose between Lennon, Townsend, Lamela and Chadli. However I think it's important that whoever plays works their nuts off, but at the same time stay positionaly disciplined. The freedom should be given to Eriksen and Kane.

Regardless if Lennon or Lamela or whoever plays.. I think our team needs balance/shape/width more than anything. We have too many players who can and reasonably should expect a first team spot, and it is preventing us from really settling into an identifiable team.
Eriksen and Kane are first attacking names on teamsheet. Start from there and build a team around them that will play to their strengths and we will be fine.

Momentum needed today. We could spank them but they will play deep and we have struggled with that so far this year.

If they start frustrating us and the crowd starts getting grumpy it could turn ugly again, but i'm hoping this is the game we work out how to break down a counter attacking team.

Big test of our progress today. Likely against an organised, packed defence at home after a midweek cup tie.

Perhaps because you see Soldado doing a lot of things right and he is a proven player elsewhere. You perhaps also feel sympathy for a man who, for all that, has lost his touch. Enough already. It sounds like I am reading your palm or the tealeaves at the bottom of your cup. Must be my gypsy blood coming through. Cross my palm with silver and I'll tell you more... (emoticon wink)

The crowd needs to develop the same backbone and fortitude as the team!
