I was. Have always sat up there for the view and the shelf side chants, it's been a great place to sit in the past. Been sitting more towards the half way line this season and I've found myself surrounded my miserable old sods who do absolutely nothing other than sit with their arms folded, tutting at everything.

There was some poisonous git behind me on Sunday who, when Adebayor pulled up when he was on the ball, went "shame he didn't fall on his neck."

And I may have mentioned this in the Forest match thread, but the bloke next to me actually went "tch" when Kane scored.

Seriously, what the fuck is that about?
Must have been very close to you, I heard that guy too. Also shouted 'he's still shit' when he scored!

Was embarrassing also when park lane started the 'we are the park lane' & the shelf side responded with ... utter silence :-(

Brighton fans-what are your score predictions?

I'll be across to your board in a bit to check-get the kettle on.

Why on earth would we play Lennon at right-back?? He is ill-equipped to play there. Surely it would be better to play one of the younger players where it might benefit us longer term. Lennon is not a solution at right-back either in short or long term, completely crazy IMHO!

Because width from full back is vital, the way Poch is trying to get us to play. We need someone who is comfortable pushing high up the pitch on the overlap and providing some contribution in the final third. Neither Naughton or Dier provide this, and a failure to address this leaves us predictable in our play (can only go down the left with Rose), stunted in attack and easy to defend against.

We have very few options after this to consider (don't think KWP is ready quite yet), one could be Lennon. In theory it makes use of his very meagre skillset of hugging the line and going down the outside, plus (the remnants of) his pace may make him a danger on the overlap. In games like this against weak opposition where we should have vast amounts of the ball and our fullbacks spending a lot of time pushing forward, what's the harm in trying it? It might not work, but I don't see what you learn from playing Naughton or Dier there. And if there are any defensive mistakes well tbh we see enough of them when we select 'proper' defenders there. These are the sorts of games where we should be proactive and looking to find solutions to issues that we have in the team.

I missed that because I was actually cheering.

The lack of singing and chanting... even a simple "Come on you Spurs" seems to all have left the shelf now.

But then again, even when I sat in the park lane corner of the east upper for Liverpool, it was full of tourists bizarrely. And it was half full of Besiktas fans when we played them. It's like the whole feel of the ground has changed in the season and a half since I was last able to go regular.

I see they've a resident Spurs fan on there. I never understand those guys. We have a Liverpool one on here iirc. Weird.
I thought the Liverpool guy disapeared from here after informing us all that Suarez would never leave.

Whatever happens tonight those that perform and do the shirt proud should retain the shirt for Sunday. Nothing worse than scoring goals or putting in a great performance but deep down you know you won't be in the side Sunday as the gaffer has his favourites.... He has to reward players on form and full of confidence. If dembele for example plays well tonight and runs the midfield he should start Sunday no doubt. There's a few in out starting 11 that have become far to complacent, we all know who they are.

But we play full-backs not wing-backs. We quite obviously have several issues at the moment, not only going forward but defensively as well. Everybody is taller than Azza, he wouldn't be able to defend crosses, he would have to learn the position etc etc etc.

Its creative, but I think the only time we would do this is if we're losing going in to the last 5 mins of a game (which is actually quite often these days!!)

That's the chap. Some of his posts were quite reasonable to be fair although he did have some rawk-ish moments.

Going to this one. Want us to smash them for various reasons. Mainly for a Spurs' confidence boost, but as a Crawley boy I want us to destroy the lot from the other side of Sussex. :D
