hopefully JJ's wrong on this occasion or something happens to change the situation, watching todays game we can definately improve the squad even if we bring Holtby now

We need a creative midfielder and a forward, we have shown over last few seasons we tire towards end of season, striker badly needed which is showing today, just hope JJSET is wrong around quiet window, I cant imagine Levy cant see the gaps, we broke through against Villa, Sunderland and Reading in the end but they could have also been frustrating days ala Stoke, WBA, Norwich, Wigan. We can get 3rd if ambitious in January !!!

A series of tweets from Suter re Willian (who appears to be overdue returning from Brazil to Shakhtar) saying that Willian wants CL, but more of a problem is that Shakhar want 30 million up front.

Hence Willian is no longer on the list of possible incoming players.

Well if it enables us to move someone who is a bit part player which frees up a squad place, wages and incoming trnsfer funds which in turn leads to us signing someone to improve our team, it interests me and most people I'd of thought. Out of curiosity were you interested in the sining of Fryers

I think JJ saying its going to be a quiet January is to dampen down expectation.

We may well be trying to get Leandro and others - but all the ITK is that 3rd party ownership of Leandro and some other issues is making a deal diffcult, so the chances of succcess are not high. If one or two deals come off, then JJ will probably come out and back track closer to the time these deals come about, but if the deals don't come off then JJ's can say his information was correct.

Incidentally JJ has been non committal on the date Holtby is joining, so unless another midfield player is coming in, I think JJ's giving uys a wink that Holtby may arrive earlier- no great surprise I know.

Agree that we can definitely improve the squad, but strangely I won't be too upset if we don't bring anyone in in January as I still think we have a squad capable of a top four finish.
