I don't see any panic buys coming in as they wont solve the problem we need that player of quality up top now and that other quality player ( play maker ) in the Summer or vice versa?...panic buying will not add to what we have already. AVB wont go for that and Levy wont either. thats my tuppence worth .

Yes, I do care about most transfers regarding the first team. I disagreed with you, so I pressed the disagree button, don't cry about it. People have an odd facination with their "rep bar" on this forum, I disliked the first comment because I didn't like it and disagreed with your second comment because I disagreed. Isn't that what the ratings are for? Feel free to neg rep me all you want, I can't care any less about some arbitrary ratings on a forum.

Unfortunately, I don't think Livermore going out on loan signifies any impending incoming transfer. Livermore hasn't had a sniff in the past couple of months, and that includes a decent period of time where Parker wasn't even fit. Given that Sandro is apparently okay, we have him, Parker, Huddlestone, Carroll, Dembele and maybe Holtby if nothing else occurs.

The selling of Huddlestone, at this point right now, would be far more significant, I feel.

Theirs plenty of time todays game just magnified the need of what is already quite apparent to us so guess we need to sit tight and hope the powers that be can bring in the right players.

Livermore on loan, Hudd to Fulham.

Holtby for 1.6m, Sissoko for 2.5m, Negredo for 13m.

That'd be a facelift to the attack and help solidify the midfield with the departures and possible long-term injury of Sandro. All guys we've been linked to as well.

6/8 million for Huddlestone (plus his freed up wages) could be that little bit extra for another player. We can only hope I guess.

I think JJ's latest update about it being a quiet January is the latest he has heard from his conversations with DL or someone else high up at the club.

He's not necessarily saying we won't sign anyone, more that we won't be buying if prices stay as they have been quoted to us.

There is still time for things to change.
