I think JJ's latest update about it being a quiet January is the latest he has heard from his conversations with DL or someone else high up at the club.

He's not necessarily saying we won't sign anyone, more that we won't be buying if prices stay as they have been quoted to us.

There is still time for things to change.

This is Spurs we're talking about. Have you not learnt anything from previous transfer windows?

Hudd leaving this window instead of summer, would most likely simply open up the wage space for bringing in Holtby early.

Its possible that thats how Levy would view it anyways

Wish our Academy would develop a top class striker if Levy feels it beneath him to get one, forever.

Livermore on loan, Hudd to Fulham.

Holtby for 1.6m, Sissoko for 2.5m, Negredo for 13m.

That'd be a facelift to the attack and help solidify the midfield with the departures and possible long-term injury of Sandro. All guys we've been linked to as well.

Holtby AIN'T coming in January - there's about 3.8 million reasons why.

And does our midfield really need solidifying? I only listened to the radio commentary today, but it seems we still need someone to unpick the locks...

I won't say Moutinho, 'cos my constant bleating about Moutinho has probably gone on too long and I don't want people to get annoyed with me constantly repeating Moutinho.

Is your avatar pic a scene from Blade Runner? Seen it before somewhere..

It is, yep.(y)

I seem to have dragged the thread off topic so to bring it back round...i'll miss Hudd if he goes to Fulham but I think it would be a good move for him, much better than sat on our bench.

You need to start a new list for people constantly repeating Moutinho and put youself on it

Well, Ok, Peanut had chelsea sniffing around him as well but DL shelled out £3m for a player with 6 months left on his contract and did it just 2 yrs ago. Check mate, Sum.

lack of movement off the ball today was terrible no wonder we couldnt find a way through, almost every time dawson collected the ball he was trying 50 yard passes for lack of an option and so many times when our midfield would lay the ball off to someone they wouldnt move around to at least try and create some space ,qpr are shit and they ARE going down they were only ever going to have one tactic today so we knew what we had to do,work as hard as them, which we didnt do and there are no excuses for that
I disagree, Dawson hits 50 yard passes so often to switch the play from wing to wing quickly - to try to take advantage of space.

Its just doesn't work as often as we'd like, and I wish he'd play it short much more.

Morning all. I expect no transfer dealings today as we have a match. Unless Harry comes in with some triffic deal to buy Jenas and Bentley. £5 for both? Triffic

Dumb??? Seriously...oookay, some people take the transfer window wayyyy too seriously.

don't touch my moustache man!

Well that is true re: Pienaar - but Holtby is signed and sealed, no-one else has a chance of getting him... Ergo...

(this is of course only my opinion - but I'll be shocked [and no doubt taunted voraciously] if it goes any other way)
