Big IF but - if we do a swap deal with Lo Celso and cash for Torres and got in Bremer (IF He wanted to come) That seems like that would be a decent solution. We’d have sorted out LCB with a solid option and have CB in too for about same cash outlay than for Bastoni alone.

probably pipe dreamy but if Bastoni doesn’t fancy it then I deffo see the swap deal for Torres in the off’ing.

I think it has to be on the cards. GLC being there and doing well last season is clearly a big plus. Wonder if we could loan them Rodon too? Might save some more cash and get Rodon the playing time he wants.

We should have a partnership programme set up with a reputable ‘team’ in the Peruvian jungle.
Then we could loan out Ndombele for the duration of a few Ayahuasca ceremonies.

That would rattle his current state of ego some what.
He would come back a completely different player.
Or not come back at all :)

Steven Bergwijn will play with the Dutch team against Belgium in Brussels on Friday night. The Nations League match could be one of his last as a player for Tottenham Hotspur. Already Ajax are playing with fire. The Amsterdammers have made an official bid for Bergwijn (24) at Tottenham Hotspur. The first proposal went straight into the trash. Bergwijn himself is open to a move to Ajax and a salary indication has indicated that a five-year contract between player and club is a formality.

The issue is that we have a deadwood pile sky high and nobody wants them. Same every year. So we wait and wait to clear out, obscuring our incoming biz.

Hope I’m wrong this year.
With the 150 mil injection, that shouldn't be an issue here (outs before ins)... of course we have the HG quota to watch out for. And squad size... but I'm certain that Paratici will work as fast as possible.

Goalkeepers gone and Perisic/Forster already in... good !... and we saw in january that we can shift players in a short time.

This is the position that intrigues me the most.

He was the one Conte seemed to favour if Kane couldn't play so once he goes replacing him won't be east in terms of versatility.

He needs a move though, needs to be playing far more than he does.

Stevie has been good every time I see him play, I get he wants more game time but from a selfish perspective he is a really good bench option for us.

mic we don’t need the money then maybe we should keep hold of him. If Ajax want him then make them pay through the nose like we did for Sanchez

Thanks for the update mate. Everything points to this one getting done. Stevie has not looked a happy bunny for a lot of this season, understandably so playing such few minutes although without his contributions off the bench especially away to Leicester, we’d have not finished 4th so thank you Stevie.

I always thought he had potential with a run of games and some confidence and I prefer him to Lucas but Conte doesn’t seem particularly keen on him and he seems like a fairly shy boy who probably misses home.

Some players moves just don’t work out and I think in this case a move back to Ajax will suit all parties and I’m sure it’ll get done.

Q then becomes who do we add as a flexible attacking option to replace him, but that is for another thread.

Thanks Dov.

Agree a decent price and this makes sense. Lad doesn’t look happy and gives us more money to go into the pot for the squad reinvigoration

I think Stevie is a good player, but for a number of reasons it just hasn’t worked out for him here. If we can get a decent fee and reinvest, we should.

Yep, unless Bergwijn wants to go, I hope he stays. We need a quality squad to give us a good chance of trophy plus top 4. Players like him and Sanchez can help us achieve that.

"The first proposal went straight into the trash"

Cue people moaning that Levy is too cheap to buy a shredder.

In this case I think most fans know Ajax are cheap when it comes to buying players. I saw reports they offered 15m Euro in the Jan transfer window which was rejected out of hand too
