I don't like the accusations of the crap yesterday about there being no CCTV for "Saint Jimmy", I thought it was completely unnecessary. Most had been nothing but gracious about the fact England were beaten by a better team. Today, Virat apparently had songs "sung about him all day by the Barmy Army", which again I'd need proof of, I've heard none and I have the official songbook at home. Most Barmy Army songs are just pro-England, save a couple for Mitchell Johnson and one about Brad Haddin. That's not fair. If you look through my posts over the last couple of days, you will not find a single one where I'm gloating.
I actually think that we were very lucky to get away with a victory. England should have been out of sight after India's first innings collapse.
I don't think India were lucky at all, I thought apart from the first day when the pitch was doing a bit, they controlled most of the game and the spell from Bumrah with a 70 over old ball was nothing short of sensational.
It's such a shame in my book that the next test starts on Friday, I think they could have done with a few more days rest as there could be some lagging out there.
