God help us if Dele and Winks are out

The club put a video of them getting on the plane. I didn’t see Winks. No Dier either, his injury is getting to be a mystery. I bet we don’t see him this season

Fernandinho obviously fit for them, just resting him at the weekend.

*if no Dier, then Wanyama, he’s got a goal in him.

Can anyone recommend a spurs pub with some atmosphere for tomorrow? Ideally North/East London

Why the heck would you play our best attacking midfielder out of position when we've got a perfectly good/fit number 9 to call upon?

And why would you want to put a fairly easy to wind up player, in among CB's that will know about his potential short fuse & simply use dark arts to get under his skin and get him booked, sent off or make him disappear into his shell?

The number 9 that we do have at our disposal has also previously played excellently against the current CL holders, links up very well with Son & Moura, and is more than capable of the link play that you suggest Alli should play.

In fact, his hold-up play & little flicks to those supporting him are pretty bloody good aspects of his game.

Get him up top, then get the likes of Son, Moura & Alli running/feeding off him. Llorente will not be bullied or manipulated by the excellent, experienced CB's that City have at their disposal.

It was merely a thought because Dele would be more mobile than Nando and be able to drop into midfield and more importantly his passing ability in that position has proven to be very useful in the past at releasing Son as he runs in behind. I like Llorente and will be happy if he starts but he doesn't have the passing ability that Dele does. It would be a means to try and get the best out of Lucas and Son - as I say tho, it was just an idea, not one to be taken quite so seriously o_O

Hopefully wanyama has one more big performance in him.

Winks is a big loss.

Slightly related question that doesn't need a new post.
IF we squeeze through, do we know what way round the home and away legs of the semi are, or is that yet to be decided?
I know it's Juventus or Ajax for the winner of our fixture.
I believe we will be home first on 30/4 or 1/5

lloris
trippier alderweireld vertonghen rose
eriksen sissoko dele
son llorente lucas
probably the first time i've actively picked llorente to start a game but i'm just really not convinced that wanyama has the legs to get anywhere near this city team, maybe if he just sticks to a 10x10 yard square in front of the back four he might be ok but otherwise i could see it getting messy. likewise, whilst i get the idea of using son and/or lucas up top for their pace, what i can imagine happening is us just constantly sending balls down the channels for them to chase but ultimately giving up the ball when they fail to hold it up, llorente at least should be able to act as a focal point and help to bring them into the game.

We've been dealt some feckin bad luck again this season regarding injuries and certain players not being able to get over them. (n)
