One thing we can absolutely guarantee is spurs will make this more difficult than it needs to be, it will be torture and if we get through it will be by the finest of margins !

This is going to be a tough, tough game. Brentford are flying right now and have already scalped 3 (or 4?) PL teams. We need to go full strength and not have an ounce of complacency or we will get beat.

Jose will have done his homework. I'm going for a nervy 1-0 or 2-1 win.

Also, Jose said about 6 or 7 times "Two victories and we win silverware" in his presser. He certainly isn't downplaying the importance of a so called lesser cup.

He also said, when asked about his record "It's isn't about me. It's about MY club (yes he emphasized my), the players, and the fans who all deserve some silverware. Kinda goes against the "all about me" perception some have of him.

Despite having outplayed and beaten both out prospective opponents already this season?

Don’t get me wrong , they are both good sides and we shouldn’t be cocky about facing either, but there is nothing to suggest we’ll probably lose either.

But its us, we will shit the bed in the cup final if we make it.

Could we be looking at scoring after two mins then full on Jose ball by having 12% possession.

I expect it to be a little like the Leeds game as they like to play football and we like to give up possession and counter.

A couple of my closest mates are Brentford season ticket holders and reckon they will be playing 3 or 4 of their squad players, so we 'should' have too much for them, but this is football and anything can happen in a single game. Brentford fans are feeling rather confident though.

Sounds like they’re getting their excuses in early

I’ll get mine in now- Mike Dean

If they give us the chances they gave Bournemouth, it will be a fairly straight forward night.

Looking forward to this one. Time seems to be dragging though...

Amazing tactical genius by Jose. Masterminding byes for a few rounds then making sure we stuffed division two Orient ... oh that was another bye. Then a marvellously adventurous penalty win against Chelsea; followed by a startling victory against the mighty Stoke.

Now of course we have the famous giants of Brentford to overcome and yet another final for Jose.

Makes you tingle with excitement. The Glory, Glory days are back again

I'm bricking it about tonight. Really not feeling confident.

I hope I'm proved emphatically wrong.

The Premier League says 40 players and club staff have tested positive for coronavirus over the past week - more than double the previous weekly high.

Hope we don't have any or few! Would be our luck to now miss half our squad

I know I’m alone in this but i just cant bring myself to care too much about this. Maybe if we make the final I’ll be up for it but right now I care a whole lot more about a week from tomorrow than either today or Sunday. Must win next week. Carabao is at the same level as the EL for me. 2 competitions i really dont care all that much about that should not be played this season. Play a mix of the kids and rotation first teamers today and sunday to get them experience.

I think if you were lucky enough to be on this side of the pond and be in attendance for the finals we have won, of which sadly due to not being old enough I’ve only been at 2, you’d care more.

Nothing, and I mean nothing, before or since, has topped the joy I got from the ball ricocheting off the side of Woodgates face and into the net v Chelsea in 2008. The unbridled ecstasy of Lucas winner v Ajax was wonderful and like nothing I’ve ever felt, but that was in part down to the seeming impossibility of what happened and the circumstances in which it did. However, having lost the final, it’s become another pleasant Spurs memory as opposed to one of the best.

Winning trophies, even lesser trophies, still matters.
