i havent clicked the Brad voters

one has to be Paolo69

lets guess who the 2nd is

It's a 10 you wee twerp.

I haven't actually voted, nor will I. The likes from posts alone tell their own story, reputation > performances for the FIFA and Football Manager playing, most active posters.

I'll just trust the manager's (that I didn't want in the first place really and most of you did) judgement.

Lloris is being tragically overhyped at this point, based on little if anything at all he's done in Lilywhite. World class is getting banded about so much now, that I'm beginning to doubt many of you have actually seen him play all that much.

Sure let's throw him into a NLD, I'm sure that'll go as well as you think it will.

It's bordering on unadulterated ageism at this point. I do hope Hugo shows enough to earn the shirt, but I have my doubts and currently don't think he deserves it.

I voted Gomes but realistically, it should be Lloris as Gomes isn't going to be picked and Lloris is a much better option than Friedel.

I don't mean to suggest that some folk are a little too susceptible to the (bollocks talked by) the media...but, isn't it funny that the media started this BS before Lloris had even been available to play, and at the same time as whiging about the Lloris situation they want to implant the idea that AVB is making the same mistakes he made at Cheslea, when one of those much trumopeted mistakes was leaving the veterans out - and Brad is a veteran.

I would like to see Lloris getting a run in the team, but, ignoring the panic, I don't think it should be that much of an issue and genuinely believe that if this was United the media would be falling over themselves to pat Beetroot Head on the back for his wise decision to allow Lloris to ease into his new role. Let's not forget, de Gea was an absolute fecking bollock at the start of last season when he was suddenly confronted with EPL football.
Not the best comparison SP, De Gea was / is still a kid, Lloris is a seasoned international with bags of experience.

Nothing wrong with Friedel, he's a very good keeper who has earned the shirt. However with that said Lloris was bought as his long term successor. We're in danger of him having a change of mind about where his career lies if he doesn't get minutes on the pitch and then where would we be? Back to looking for Friedels long term successor only we'd be in a weaker position due to other good keepers seeing what happened to Lloris.

It's a tough one to call. Maybe we should accommodate them both more equally. Didn't England used to rotate Clemence/Shilton? Couldn't we do the same?

I voted for Hugo, but what are we not seeing in training? AVB clearly was not interested in Brad's record, so that's not the problem. We all surely believe that AVB wants to win matches, so what possible incentive could he have for playing what most are convinced is a slightly inferior keeper? There must be something about Hugo in training that is making AVB unsure of him at the moment. That's all I can think, and we have no option but to accept AVB's - presumably considered - opinion.

I love AVB, but his insistence with Brad is really pissing me off now. Made sense at the start of the season, but right now its both baffling and infuriating in equal measure. It is a concern Lloris will contemplate his immediate future if it continues

I certainly don't accept AVB's opinion on this, and think he's being stupid over the issue. It's quite clear that the vast majority on here don't accept AVB's opinion either. poor old Brad, not only is losing by a massive margin to Hugo, he's even trailing behind Gomes into third place ATM.

I've no idea what's going on in training, all we need is Lloris out there on match day and let us judge who's best.

Lloris has played one lge game so far, and kept our only Prem clean sheet of the season. Even if he is rubbish at training, which I doubt, what matters the most is what happens on match days.

I could handle Lloris not starting if it wasn't blatantly obvious that for one thing old father time keeps kicking the ball back to the opposition, i mean how many premier league games under his belt surely it would be obvious kicking it long means it's coming straight back 8/10 times gahhhhhhh.

Having said that no journo kicks up merry fuck when Fergie keeps dropping De Gea anyone would think that it's a stick to beat André with if one was being cynical.

If it's a case of bedding him in then fine i trust he knows what he's up to but if he wasn't an AVB purchase then i worry even more what is going on upstairs with the general.

The most frustrating thing about Brad is pointless hoofs that ALWAYS find an opposition player.

I don't think it will happen but if we lose Lloris because AVB doesn't play him, I will be absolutely incensed.

Lloris.

While I believe Brad is the more even and stable keeper, his unwillingness to come off his line has, and will, cost us goals. Lloris is composed beyond his years, but his style of keeping, commanding the box, coming off his line etc, may cause more spectacular mistakes, causing the media to get on his back. But in the long run, a pro-active, young keeper will be beneficial for us. We need to give him game time and confidence, lest we want to lose him. Because, let's face it, Brad isn't going anywhere. This is probably the last top flight club he'll play for.

Brad can be very frustrating at times. I hate the way he just stands planted and watches shots go past him. Even Gomes threw himself at shots he had no chance of reaching. Feels like most of the goals Friedel lets in he just stands still and watches them hit the net - at least give it a chance!

I also think that Hugo's highest level is way higher than Friedel's, and some of the goals old Brad has let past him I'm quite convinced that Hugo would have saved (Cahills goal, for example). Hugo's reflexes are just so much better.

Then again, Hugo did himself no favors by letting in that goal against Maribor, mistakes like that will haunt him for quite some time. Brad just doesn't slip up like that, but he concedes "easy" goals which doesn't look spectacular.

Considering their performances in a spurs shirt the people who voted Gomes are clearly loopy. Id gladly pick Cuddy over Gomes. Hell Id probably pick Lennon over Gomes to try and avoid that sense of dread that permeated the defense and supporters everytime the ball came near the 18 ya box when Gomes was in goal.

As for brad vs lloris, not sure i really care. Neither have been stunning this season but neither are really anywhere near our main problem.Having said that Lloris would probably already be in the side if he hadn't made two Gomes-esque clangers in the 4/5 games he's played...

Well, it's nice to see SC agreeing and not going all "Spurta!!" for a change. :)
