Romano in the Transfer Ticker saying waiting on the Raphinia domino but I don't know how that comes into it unless it's us that buy Raphinia and so don't wan't Richarlison?

I'm not sure how I feel about us potentially spending £60m+ on Richarlison. He's a better fit profile-wise than Raphinha but at the same time it does feel like Raphinha can become a top player whereas I feel we kinda know what Richarlison is, a solid Premier League forward who isn't going to light the league up.
Just my opinion, but I think Richarlison is more than a "solid PL forward". Ashley Barnes is a solid PL forward. Richarlison has been excellent for years in a shit Everton side that's constantly changing managers.

Exactly. Think he's deserved a bigger move so lets see how he gets on

Looks like we have indeed chosen Richarlison as our top target. If we were only ever planning on bringing in one forward then this makes sense imo, although seeing Raphinha at Arsenal will be a real shame.
not according to ITK ...arsenal mouthpiece yes

Assuming Moura stays as primary backup to Kulusevski, we need backup for Kane and Son. Richarlison in that case makes more sense or at least someone like him. Paqueta would round things off nicely and also give us the option of a 352 some games.

That Everton insist hes staying aside from an exceptional offer thing is amusing when everyone knows they need to sell and the player wants to leave. What they mean is they want a near market price not a massively discounted one.

I wonder if the Winks and Dele stuff could give us some grounds for a creative deal that suits their FFP. We have the FFP headroom so we could say pay them £50m now and then they sign Winks on a loan with obligation to pay £20-25m next summer. That way they get all of the income in for FFP now and can defer the winks fee for a year (possibly 2 accounting years). We won't care as the future income is assured.

Fits the bill, can cover the entire forward line if needed. We spent too much time trying to sign an out and out ST as backup to Kane when we should have been looking at a versatile Son type player who can play any of the forward positions and cover if necessary.

I can’t think of a more proven, attainable player so perfect for how we play and what we need, that is not going to cost us the entire budget. We literally cover all 3 forward positions with this one signing, and it’s a good headline signing. Makes so much sense.

I'd probably choose Raphinha out of the two as preference but I do think Richarlison has Conte written all over him.

He's got that competitive streak, the work rate, and the ability to make things happen both physically and technically (albeit not the most refined). Two footed and decent in the air with good pace.

I'll be very happy it comes off for that reason, we'll be giving manager his ideal tools.

I think Raphinha has the higher ceiling but I also think Richarlison would really benefit from Conte's coaching and system.

One thing that doesn’t make sense is there was a lot of chat recently that we want a wing wizard type in our squad hence our move for Diaz in January.

Richarlison doesn’t fit that at all where as Raphinha is exactly that.

So it makes me wonder if we do go for Richarlison as a versatile forward option (which makes sense), surely we still want a wing wizard option in the squad too since we have been looking for one.

Must have a really saggy droopy sack must reach past your ankles
Used to be a lad on my street growing up that around the age of 14 could slap his bollocks against his ass as some kind of party trick. Used to do it in front of his own mother ? dread to think what those are like 14 years later!

With Watford due 10% sell on fee on any transfer over £40m do other posters think the type of deal we may attempt is £39m transfer fee as long as they agree a deal for Winks for around £20m sale or loan with obligation for the same amount?

Id personally be very happy with richy, yes i cant stand his rolling around on the floor and playacting but we aint going to get a better backup that could cover all 3 positions up top. Ive never been a fan of son up top so i dont think raf alone would be a good solution as despite sons decent goal output when he has filled in up top i dont think its his game to hold up the ball or play with his back to goal.

Id rather this fellow over Rapinha, personally. Same age and much more established. Plus he is more versatile. And having another legitimate striker besides Kane - Ive forgotten what thats like.
